  • My Dream Yard, Finally!, I've spent years designing "dream yards" for my clients in Los Angeles and landscape makeovers for HGTV and my show, "Garden Police" formerly on the Discovery Home Channel. • Fairy Perennial Garden, I designed this "Fairy" garden as a makeover for a family on the HGTV show "Outer Spaces" a few years ago. The family loved fairies and wanted me to incorporated them somehow in the garden without it being to "juvenile" looking. Enjoy, Gardens Design

  • Total Outdoor Makeover , This is a continuation of our renovation of a seventies split level ranch house. The front and back yard spaces were overgrown with trees and shrubs. The grass was in terrible shape. We redefined all the components to create an outdoor living space for entertaining that includes new multi-level patio areas, hard spaces and a beautiful Asian inspired pergola with outdoor sofa seating, dining table and built-in grill. The Asian inspiration continues with a series of cobalt blue fountains for the water features. The overall atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. You can find the interior renovation project at this site named "Split Level Ranch Renovation". , Patios & Decks Design

  • Back Yard, Back patio off of living room. Large back yard. When we purchased the home in 2001, it had three trees, a clothes line, a TV tower a rundown shed and a very large TV dish. It has taken us some time but we work on it consistently with love. We had the back pavers (porch) covered, as it faces south and is extremely hot in the summer and added flowers, plants and Japanese Red Maple on one side and roses, irises and phlox to other side. We place a shade garden around a tree and put in an arbor with clematis growing over it. We built a large barn for my husbands woodworking shop and put a porch on it to look like a small home. We sided and roofed the run down shed and also put a small porch look on it to match everything. I wanted a window box on the shed for flowers but it did not have a window and my husband said it could not be added because of structural issues. So we hung a window on the siding and put a flower box underneath. It works for me., Yards Design

  • My before and after!!!, My home's exterior was in very sad shape. I wanted to be in this neighborhood for the school district and for the rural zoning so that I could build a guest house for my mom. I built the guest house a few years ago and it works great for my 83 yr old mom but I kept putting off working on the front of my house. , Home Exterior Design

Our aim for this project was to convert the rear garden into a contemporary moden space. Installing products like Marshalls Argent paving and a fantastic hot pink water feature has enabled us to fulfill our customers specification. • Objects in the Garden, My gardening style is quite relaxed. I have objects of all sorts and sizes in my garden. Some are meant for the garden and some have been repurposed. Tasteful placement of various and interesting objects is an important element in my gardens. Objects can be used as focal points or as semi-hidden surprises as you stroll around your yard.

  • 2013 Gardening Efforts and New Herb Garden Addition, I decided to go with a burnt red color scheme on the front porch to compliment The hanging geraniums on our front porch. I also did a little flower placing around the cabin. I increased the perennial garden plants this year around the yard. Always like to add a few varieties each year. I will soon have to start thinning out and transplanting to new garden plots soon. Never Done!, Gardens Design
