  • Reed's Nursery Rhyme Nursery, This mural includes children's songs, fables, nursery rhymes, and tons of tiny critters and animals to keep a baby entertained. I created this nursery for my first born son Reed. I was 8 months pregnant when I began painting it. This was my favorite project because it was the first time I got to create a project for my own child. , Nurseries Design

  • Formal, warm and inviting living room, This is the room that would typically be called the formal living room. We are casual and have young children. I think the space is well suited to our lifestyle. It is a perfect space for conversation or to curl up and read a book. After dinner parties we generally circulate into the space for after dinner drinks and dessert. I still need to change out the previous drapery. It is not my style. It does match to some degree so it has been a little farther down on my to do list. I'll get them done, hopefully this year. Enjoy and thanks for looking!, Living Rooms Design

  • Windowless Bedroom, This was an old storage room off a garage and once the garage was built-in, it became an office. We needed an additional bedroom so we tried to make it less storage like & more inviting. We were on a tight budget and still have more to do with the room, but this is the start!, Girls' Rooms Design

  • Master Bathroom with a View, We recently (finally) renovated / remodeled our master bathroom that had been sitting gutted since the day we bought our house - over 3 1/2 years ago. We finally were able to borrow the lump sum needed to do this massive makeover. The issue with the original bathroom - other than the fact that it was super dated (green wallpaper) and yucky, was that the main drain was cracked and water was leaking to the floor below - into the walls and down to the floor. This is a second story bathroom and below it is the kitchen and dining room. Sadly the previous tenant was using the bathroom even with the broken drain pipes which had caused mold in the walls which we had to get professionally cleaned! Anyway, all that's in the past now and we have a fabulous modern (but comfortable) master bathroom that feels like an expensive hotel / spa and it even has a view of the bay and golden gate bridge!

feel free to follow our blog for the rest of our adventures in home makeover here - http://fixerwithaview.wordpress.com - we even have a blog section about how we almost got onto HGTV's curb appeal - shot the reveal and everything before our project was cancelled., Bathrooms Design

  • Window Air Conditioner Water Damage, Here is what happens when Window Air Conditioner are left in windows for extended periods of time. When air window conditioners are not properly placed in a window. Water can leak into walls. Here is an example what can happen. The framing under the window started rotting and had bug damage. We first noticed that the window trim at the bottom of the window was wet and the paint was peeling on the trim boards. As we pried the wood back we noticed more moisture and rotten wood. As we pulled out wet fiberglass insulation we found more wet rotten wood in the wall. We had to rebuild the wall. After we install a weather barrier we will re-install clap board siding. This happens to be a rental property, but homeowners can get lazy & forget to removed a unit after the summer, too., Home Exterior Design

  • Neutral Living Room, We haven't done much in here except paint the walls a neutral beige color. I would love some color inspiration... I tend to lean towards "safe" colors, and feel stumped with this living room. With our dark wood trim and our brown and beige furnishings I have no idea what color would look good on the walls. Any suggestions???, Living Rooms Design
