We wanted to create a very girly space with touches of sophistication. We accomplished this with our color palate and simple decor. We used soft, subdued shades of pink and white juxtaposed with pops of bright lime green. We are very happy with the end result, creating a space our baby girl can enjoy for many years to come.

This is a 1950's 10 x 7 "L" space kitchen. Being small the previous owners painted it white. We would like to add some color but are lost as to how much color we can add without making it look even smaller. Eventually we would like to change out the ugly green counter and original cabinets that are painted with new hardware. Warm and cozy is what we want achieve. Any suggestions?

This bathroom hasn't been touched since at least the 1970's. We have many limitations with space, but it is much brighter and cleaner. Clawfoot Tub was turned into a shower with new fixtures.

I've been moving things around here quite a bit lately: I finally found the perfect spot for our tiki-hut - it as a little bit too big for the entrance and wasn't very functional there. We have a lot of people over, so it's perfect to keep the glass water container on it all the time now. We also got new ceiling fans - it's very hot here in Hawaii, and I wanted the fans to look more tropical so I got the woven leaf look. We added more seating and changed a few more things around:

My daughter-n-law and I wanted a whimsical type nursery but still wanted it to be masculine. We searched and searched for some type of inspiration to help us with a theme. Finally we came across a photo of a little girl kissing a frog prince and the theme was set. We know from the beginning that we wanted a black and white color combination and finally settle on green for our third color. From that point we let our imaginations flow. We added striped to the bottom part of the wall by taping off 12 in. sections and painting in alternating colors of black & white. The top border of the wall we created a connecting diamond shaped pattern using a diamond stencil I created out of cardboard. I used a small circle sponge to add metallic gold dots where each diamond meets. Using colors in Fresh Parsley, Black & White in a satin finish. I custom designed and handmade all the curtains, accent pillows, placemat and changing table cover.
The Chandelier was custom created by Whimsical Collections as a replica to the custom painting we had painted by hilariagalleries .
Other accessories bought at various stores throughout our process for creating this nursery.
This room was a true labor of Love. I enjoyed every minute difficult or easy in the process of designing this nursery, from the time I stitched my first stitch to the very last drop of paint.
I wanted my grandson to have a room worthy of a prince that he is. I created and did most of the work with the inspiration and ideas of my daughter-n-law to help along the way.

Instead of complaining about how unhappy I was with the look of my kitchen, and even more disappointed with my budget of $400. I was able to save ALOT of money by repurposing items from storage and other rooms.
I used Rustoleum Liquid Laminate paint to resurface my faux- marble look. It comes in 16 different colors.
I had really good wood cabinets but it was too dark in my kitchen because there was only window and not a lot of light. I really wanted to brighten up the kitchen by painting the cabinets white.
Behr has this great paint and primer in one. After sanding the cabinets it really saved a lot of time.
I used the Simple Matte Tile Solution and the Simple Grout (which was pre mixed and mess free I used 1/4 inch tile spacers and GOT BUSY!
I changed the light fixtures and replaced them with silver pendant lights from ikea.
In the end we spent $414. I have to say that my kitchen is now my new favorite room in the house. If you dont like your kitchen you have the power and the resources to change it!

I love modern designs, but I am a traditionalist at heart, so I wanted to find a way to blend the two. I hope you like this red, white, and blue nursery :

We love how our daughter's nursery turned out! It's so calm and peaceful -- and even though she's still sleeping in our room at night, I still love to spend most of the day in her room. When planning for a boy or girl, I knew I wanted the "big ticket" items to be of good quality and remain gender neutral - to accommodate our future children. I first found the Bratt Decor crib 50% off! I then picked out the bedding and wall color and everything fell into place after then. I was able to save money by making her mobile, lampshade and bow holder. The dresser was an antique find in my dad's shed, so that = FREE! I hope you enjoy looking through the pictures, and I hope they do the room justice!

So, the master bath was all white. White walls, white vanity, white countertop, white tub, white floor. I had decided to bring in some color by way of a very inexpensive wall mural thing with parrots. Picked out some colors from the mural and added towels and mats. Yucky!! So have decided we need a makeover.

We like to keep our holiday decor color schemes & themes neutral. We are relatively new homeowners, so we don't have a ton of decorations yet, but each year we add to our collection...hope you like it!

When we moved in to our new house, we found a very white kitchen. While functional, it didnt have any personality. We have now added color, new stainless steel appliances, and granite countertops to add some warmth to the room. Enjoy!
