These are pictures of our Kitchen and Breakfast Nook. When we moved in we were up until 3-4 in the morning painting for a week straight. We were trying to beat the new flooring installation and the start of the new school year (I'm a teacher and that is a stressful time. Needless to say, when it came time to do the kitchen/nook we ran out of time, energy, creativity, and motivation. Everything in this room is white. White tile, white cabinets, white counter tops, white appliances, and there is even a white textured wallpaper on some of the walls. I feel like I'm in a scene from "Winter Wonderland" only it's not so wonderful.

This is my kitchen. The cabinets are original, but the previous owner painted them and added new hardware. It has a nice tile floor as well. Just a little too white for my tastes. I like darker woods.

Moved in a few years ago with plans to renovate this "white" space, but have yet to get around to it. The only "upgrades" we managed to get to were adding crown moldings to the top and bottom of the upper kitchen cabinets and a new sink faucet fixture. We need a real renovation make over with color splash intervention...help!

We just bought our very first home a month ago! It is a 1931 cottage style 1.5 story house, relatively small... but for two 22 year olds - I'd say it's perfect. Due to the size of the house, we are doing all we can to make it feel bigger. We painted the kitchen, took off some doors and put up wallpaper. We had almost no budget - so what you see here was done on about $120.00 - $140.00 in materials.

This is a 1950's 10 x 7 "L" space kitchen. Being small the previous owners painted it white. We would like to add some color but are lost as to how much color we can add without making it look even smaller. Eventually we would like to change out the ugly green counter and original cabinets that are painted with new hardware. Warm and cozy is what we want achieve. Any suggestions?

Our kitchen needed a long overdue update. We had maple cabinets with formica. I have always loved flowers, the ocean, baking and dainty things. I am also a disney nut, hence the tinkerbell. This all inspired me, and after alot of research I decided upon a country look. My hubby painstakingly painted the cabinets, and a family friend also a master cabinetmaker made our custom island and the hood above our microwave. I tried very hard but could not stay away from the marble countertop. I am an avid baker and looking forward to lots of baking in my kitchen. My daughter and hubby use the stool we have at the island to be with me or help me while cooking. Love my new kitchen! Just waiting on new outlet covers and a rug for under the table.

My wife and I bought a home from a really nice elderly couple but it needed some updating in the house. We started in the kitchen first. Here are the pictures.

We did a whole house renovation on our 1400 sq ft 1870s Victorian. White kitchen with soapstone counters, stainless appliances, and a contrasting blue-green island. Dining room with high wainscoting. We did the best we could with our small space!

My family purchased a 1995 bumper-pull travel trailer. My husband had trouble seeing past the 90s blue carpet, and blue and pink splattered wall paper and draperies. I looked at the travel trailer completely differently and immediately knew what I wanted the end result to be.
