  • Baby Cait's Room, We wanted to create a very girly space with touches of sophistication. We accomplished this with our color palate and simple decor. We used soft, subdued shades of pink and white juxtaposed with pops of bright lime green. We are very happy with the end result, creating a space our baby girl can enjoy for many years to come., Girls' Rooms Design

  • Bright Pink and Lime Floral Nursery, Baby girl nursery with bright pink, lime, and turquoise in happy floral theme with little garden bug accents. Also incorporates Fisher Price Rainforest accessories.

From early on, I knew I didn't want a traditional pale pink girl nursery. I wanted something happy and bright.
I really wanted to do lime and turquoise and ideally I was hoping to do it in florals, but most of the sets I found were very boyish. I actually ordered 3 crib sets and sent them back before I found one that had the right shades and colors that I was looking for. From there, I searched for coordinating fabrics and accessories to personalize the space and really tie my colors together. It ended up including pink after all, but a very bright happy pink which fit nicely with what I had in mind.

I spent $1,000 on the furniture and about another $500 in paint and decor. But my parents bought a few things for the room and my best friend paid for the custom made window treatments and a few other things. So in total, we probably have about $2,000-$2,200 in the room.

She's 7 months old now and LOVES her room! She's loves looking around at all the bright colors and accessories., Nurseries Design

  • Before and After Roadside Find Table Makeover, I love working on old furniture and I knew I just had to rescue this old French Provincial table when I spotted it on the side of the road waiting for the trash man. I gave it a Shabby Chic inspired look with new soft blue paint, textured wallpaper, a white color wash to bring out the details and some vintage book pages. • decisions, decisions, decisions, i'm trying to decide if i could get by with just raising the curtain rods or do i need to add valances? i bought off white paint paint for the furniture but can't commit- the room's trim is already brown and i really like black. tried subtle stripes on walls- not my thing. thinking of stenciling subtle border or overall design not sure if that would work with floral fabrics. still looking for easy headboard idea that inspires me. , Bedrooms Design

  • Alexa's Nursery, I wanted to create something pretty comfortable and classic. My talented father-in-law built the round crib and changing table out of Maple. My mother-in-law made the classic white and pink round crib bedding with sheer white ribbon ties. I am still looking for something to put on the walls around the crib (or above it). And I'm still looking for something on the wall above the changing table. Any suggestions on those two things are welcome! , Nurseries Design
