My intent was to create a peaceful and romantic space for my husband and I. For photographs I used only pictures of him and I (left out our beautiful baby boy who's pictures have taken over the rest of the house and used decor items from our wedding such as our champagne classes, wedding book, wedding pictures, and my cherished Jimmy choo wedding shoes.I also wanted the space to feel peaceful so I decided on monochromatic and relaxing colors. I got my inspiration for this room from Rene, another Rate My Space member. I loved the dark walls contrasting with the white bedding, and we already had the dark furniture to work with. We added our own touches with some florals, vases, candles, and art for the wall. We would love to eventually purchase a rug that goes well with the room since we have such an open floor space in the center of the room.

This is our master bedroom makeover was done on a whim. We found the bedding and pillows at Target and the pillows were the inspiration for the wall color! The mirrors behind the night stands were bought at an antique mall and sprayed white! Thanks for looking!

With the upcoming arrival of a new baby brother, it was time for the boys to get a new shared space of their own. Their grandparents had already bought them beds so my goal was to work with what I had and see where we could take it. I've never been a huge fan of theme rooms only because they out grow them so quickly so I stuck with a bold blue and white theme that should last them for years to come.

Our bed room is a place to rest an rejuvenate at least until the kids jump in the bed anyway! This room is light blue with touches of black / white Toile. The bed has an antique black finish and is distressed to look aged. Silver accents highlight our room and a few crystals add that touch of sparkle.

I love the laid back elegance of this four poster bed. I initially chose the seafoam green wall color because I wanted a tropical feel. I am contemplating changing the wall color to something warm. I tend to change the style of my bedding a few times during the year so I need a versatile color. Any suggestions?

I am looking for ways to decorate the walls and add just a touch more fun to fun too it. I am open to your ideas. I am trying to find some paris pictures or something fun. Note: I am having a hard time getting an accurate picutre of the pink on the walls. It is very pretty in person. It is a very rich color. I found this bedding online and I love it but I need some help picking out other stuff to put in my room. I want to stay with the color scheme of the two shades of pink black white and grey. The other photo just shows how the colors look on the walls. I am turning 14 and I want my room to reflect my personality.
