The master bath and master bedroom suite measures 600 sq. ft. and most of the bathroom space is used up this huge whirlpool tub. We only have 1 36" vanity we have to share. The wallpaper was put up on the drywall without any primer paint on the drywall and it is not coming off! I faux painted in hopes of covering the seams but they still show. I need suggestions. We want 2 vanities. I want that big tub out of there. I want the walls to look better. Thanks so much.

We recently (finally renovated / remodeled our master bathroom that had been sitting gutted since the day we bought our house - over 3 1/2 years ago. We finally were able to borrow the lump sum needed to do this massive makeover. The issue with the original bathroom - other than the fact that it was super dated (green wallpaper and yucky, was that the main drain was cracked and water was leaking to the floor below - into the walls and down to the floor. This is a second story bathroom and below it is the kitchen and dining room. Sadly the previous tenant was using the bathroom even with the broken drain pipes which had caused mold in the walls which we had to get professionally cleaned! Anyway, all that's in the past now and we have a fabulous modern (but comfortable master bathroom that feels like an expensive hotel / spa and it even has a view of the bay and golden gate bridge!

The Master Bath in our new home has potential. We love the whirlpool bath, double walk-in closets, large vanity, skylight (and the natural light from it, and the seperate lavatory area. The major problem is the wall paper and builder grade touches. The color of the doors (closet and entry, cabinets, built in storage are all cream; like all the trim in our home (which works fine in the rest of the house but in this room it is too much cream for me!

This 1st floor bath was an eye sore when we moved intot it 6 months ago we have demolished the interior and i have purchased several bathroom fixtures i plan on installing. From gray tile to travertine w/granite counters. Shower has rainfall overhead 2nd wall mount and 2 sets of body sprays. Feels like our own spa. Separate enclosed toilet area. We are going to mount a TV on the wall by the whirlpool tub. Still haven't found right color for rugs and towels. Any suggestions for window treatments?
