  • pianolady09's dated bathroom, Our master bath needs updating. We don't want the jet tub anymore. One sink in the vanity. Linen closet that should be a potty room, and a small shower and a stool. Tile floor is heated. The bathroom measures about
12 X 16 ft. The walls are very different in that the builder, my husband, likes angels. So, the walls are angeled to some extent. I tried to show that in the pictures. The circle top window is wonderful. It has oak trim, in fact the whole house has oak trim except for the master bedroom which we painted white. We are very tired of oak. , Bathrooms Design

  • Laundry Room Needs Space Saving Ideas, I painted our laundry room/ entrance area in 6175 Sagey by SW. I need ideas on how to use this tiny room with space saving ideas. A way to hide the electrical box would be nice. Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated. The laundry area leads into the kitchen so my plan is to paint the kitchen with the same green color. I put this in the Kitchen section because there isn't a Laundry room area! , Kitchens Design

  • Rustic mountain home - Kitchen, Dining, and Living room combo, Our home is in a ski area and it backs up to a greenbelt on the mountain. When we bought it, my husband said it looked like Laura Ashley lived there - so it needed (still needs) a lot of work. For the first phase, we completely rennovated the kitchen and modified the living area. We changed a closet holding the washer/dryer into a wetbar, added hardwood floors with stone trim, and updated the entertainment center. The house was very dated as it was built in 1989.

We changed out the windows and removed one of the the two sliding back doors and turned it into a large window. There is good natural light in the daytime. Most of the pitures were taken at night and seem a bit darker than reality.

We replaced the wooden chair railings with custom iron railings. The wall with the entertainment center had slanted notty pine which was removed to lighten up the room.

It's a small area but very cozy. We love spending time there cooking and entertaining.

We did the remodel in 3 phases to allow us to use the house during ski seasons and summer. The next phase was to remove a bedroom wall to make a home office. We extended the garage and added a front deck including sliding glass doors., Kitchens Design

  • Laundry room in Garage, I got a cabinet from work and decided to put it up over the washer instead of the smaller one I had that would'nt hold anything. That turned into a 3 day project including repainting all cabinets and adding crown molding and a shelf over the dryer. Still have to take off storm door and paint. Repainted 1970's mushroom hanging lamp which I love since it takes 3 100 watt bulbs. I have it on a dimmer swith located right outside kitchen door., Other Spaces Design
