  • His and Hers Home Office, In August of 2011 the north east was hit by hurricane Irene. Northern New Jersey experienced major flooding. We were contacted by a home owner who's office had experienced major damage due to flooding.

The scope of the project involved duplicating existing office furniture. The original work was quite involved.

The bulk of the project is plain sliced Walnut veneer with a clear coat finish. One of the offices incorporates a Corian solid surface top which we were able to salvage. You will also see various custom lateral files, the drawers themselves constructed of Baltic birch plywood on full extension slides. Shelving units have a clear plain sliced Maple interior. Each office also has a custom made coat closet.

The existing units were disassembled and taken back to our shop where we deconstructed them, remanufactured them and then reinstalled the new finished project., Home Offices Design

  • Logan's Nursery, We used brown, tan, and green to create a calm and cozy space for our newest arrival. The room is very small so we opted for curtains instead of doors on the closet and matched them to the one window., Nurseries Design

  • Master Bathroom with a View, We recently (finally) renovated / remodeled our master bathroom that had been sitting gutted since the day we bought our house - over 3 1/2 years ago. We finally were able to borrow the lump sum needed to do this massive makeover. The issue with the original bathroom - other than the fact that it was super dated (green wallpaper) and yucky, was that the main drain was cracked and water was leaking to the floor below - into the walls and down to the floor. This is a second story bathroom and below it is the kitchen and dining room. Sadly the previous tenant was using the bathroom even with the broken drain pipes which had caused mold in the walls which we had to get professionally cleaned! Anyway, all that's in the past now and we have a fabulous modern (but comfortable) master bathroom that feels like an expensive hotel / spa and it even has a view of the bay and golden gate bridge!

feel free to follow our blog for the rest of our adventures in home makeover here - http://fixerwithaview.wordpress.com - we even have a blog section about how we almost got onto HGTV's curb appeal - shot the reveal and everything before our project was cancelled., Bathrooms Design

  • New Construction Home - Modern Kitchen, This is a new construction spec home in the Dallas area that my father (a custom homebuilder) and I worked on together. Bc it is vacant, please ignore the lack of accessories and warmth. We wanted to make the home feel comtemporary, but not overly so. We used a lot of soft and neutral colors throughout that will hopefully appeal to most buyers., Kitchens Design

  • Nursery Turned Toddler Girl Room, When my daughter turned 2 we updated her nursery into a big girl's room with a twin bed. The hand-me-down dresser was originally plain oak. I painted that and the headboard, that I found on Craigslist, white. The knobs on the dresser came from Target (in sets of 4). The walnut bookcase also came from Target., Girls' Rooms Design

  • Unique Kitchen, Before the kitchen remodel, the kitchen was all white (cabinets, tile countertop etc) and closed off from the dinning room and french doors. Lets just say I'm a little more colorful than that.

The lower cabinets are walnut. The uppers are custom made by me and my brother. I bought a MIG welder and welded the uppers and the pantry door.

Kitchen remodel by Barringer Built Homes with a little help from me.
The glass upper is made from reused glass. We also poured the concrete countertops in place. The prep area has a butcher block counter.

I love how I have an area for prepping next to my stove. Even better is that I get to watch the sunset as I cook.
