  • Wall of Windows Addition, This is my living room that use to have a big brick fireplace with two small windows on each side. The room was too small for a large sectional that I wanted since the fireplace extended out into the room and it was dark. I have a fantastic backyard so we removed the fireplace from the exterior wall and added windows. We also added 4 feet to the room which really feels like we added a lot more., Living Rooms Design

  • Dr.Jeckle Mr. Hyde Farmhouse Kitchen, My kitchen is large but divided by a wall that is concealing a rustic brick chiminey. Part of the division is my stove, so the back shows. One side is the kitchen work space the other is the dark office area. I can picture a large island in the middle flowing off the uncovered chiminey. There is space behhind it to walk around. I don't need an office, I'd rather have one cohesive kitchen. There is a large eat in area with a wall of windows. It has so much potential. I envision carriage house/farmhouse style with concrete counters and apron front sink., Kitchens Design

  • My Master Bedroom, We built our house ourselves. Our master bedroom has cathedral ceiling made of tongue and groove cypress. I love our ceiling. The room is pretty large about 21’ x 18’. We have a wall of windows. I like the earth tone colors with the hint of blue/gray. I know it is sort of spare on accents. Please give me some hints advice or suggestions. I know there is something missing it is not as cozy as I would like I just don’t know how to put it together. Thanks…, Bedrooms Design

  • Help with design layout, We moved into our 3 year old house in Jan. 2009. We have combined two households (my mother and my husband and I). We need help in figuring out a layout for the living room that would provide a section for entertaining/watching TV and a reading area possibly. We want to knock out the back wall to include the patio area which will be enclosed with a wall of windows to see the backyard. We need ideas on how to build an entertainment unit that would house the TV and other equipment and DVDs. We welcome ideas from your housing projects as we plan how to improve our living room. Thank you!, Living Rooms Design
