We painted the kitchen a very light pink in March. I am still collecting accessories and haven't decided what to hang on the walls yet. Please feel free to leave suggestions. We are nowhere near completing this kitchen that is why it still looks a little bare!

This bathroom was a small long bathroom that my children used while living at home. It was very chopped up with a small builders grade double vanity, an oversized linen closet with a door that let into the bathtub/toilet area that was so tight that you had to literally step into the tub to shut the door. We decided to open the space by taking out the closet and wall with door that led to the toilet area. We removed the tub, had the area enlarged by 8 inches for a walk in shower with a bench. (preparing for elderly parents We had the toilet moved over a bit and added 2 pedestal sinks. At first we were not going to put the tile up the wall, but added as the project progressed. I am very glad that we did.

The walls are a dark chocolate brown with a 12" red boarder painted at the top. The trim and doors are an antique white. The curtains, crib skirt, and personalized children's chair are red/white gingham. The crib sheet, comforter, changing pad cover, light switch plate, lamp shade, and night light are an ivory fabric with brown vintage sock monkeys! The mobile above the crib was made by me. My father made the red shelf, and a friend made the personalized blocks. I made the "No Monsters Allowed" sign above the closet. The room isn't overwhelming with Sock Monkeys. The theme is understated, and we love that it can be easily transformed, as Preston grows. All we'll have to do is change the bedding, curtains and wall art!

My house is a 2 story Victorian. This is my dinning room, which is very vintage. My house is always a work in progress. Someday I will improve this room! I love my curtains, I would like to get new chanderliar, center piece, lighter table cloth. I would love to have two pieces of art work on each side of the room when you first look in. with furniture, the same in each corner. with a lovely lamp on each. Let's just say I would want my dinning room to go granny, go granny away!! All I need now is a bigger pocket book and any ideas anyone?

This is my old Victorian farmhouse redo. It's a sort of recycled repurposed story. The colors I chose were from Pratt and Lambert paint. The roof is a steel cedar shake molded interlock system with a copper finish. The weather vane and lightning rods are all copper with glass globes.

I can't even begin to explain the love I have for Christmas. I think about it all year. I am ready to decorate the second Halloween is over. I adore everything about it.
Our home is small but I cram as much Christmas decor as I can into it...haha I don't follow all the trends when it comes to decorating, especially with my tree. I like to use the blown glass ornaments we have collected over the years and this year I am up to 90% all blown glass. There are about 10% that I could not bring myself not to add b/c they were too special to us. I try very hard to have that home you can't help but want to cuddle up with a cup of hot chocolate in. I love a somewhat "vintage" feel.

We have a large extended family and we eat alot. We use this room for our family dinners. This room isn't large enough so we usually spill into the living room as well. It's not stuffy but fun...hence why there is a sofa in the room. Our family is informal so this is my take on a "formal dining" room.

I bought this house for $600 dollars at a tax sale auction and set out to remodel and redo it with a very small amount of money! It has been redone with free, recycled, repurposed items with paint being the only major expense! I searched all over town and hit curb piles, had friends, neighbors and whoever I could talk into keeping a look out.. watch for discarded items. Soon, people began to bring me things they thought might look good in my house! No area was free from scrounging, including the city compost pile where people dumped amazing treasures!
