  • Sofa Transformation to Country, It's not everyone's taste, but for the longest time I've wanted a large print, floral sofa and couldn't find one I could afford. I did, however, happen across a bolt of upholstery fabric that was very close to what I had in mind so I took my delimma, and my staple gun, into my own hands. Now my sofa fits into my "old country", farmhouse look. , Living Rooms Design

  • Hello Hollywood!!!, This space went from drab to glam with many updates throughout. It got a couple coats of paint(Proper Gray by Sherwin Williams). I made my own custom headboard, attempted the art of re-upholstery, created artwork above the bed out of leftover fabrics and lengthened some standard curtains to create drama in the room....., Bedrooms Design

  • Living room - Before, I'm pretty okay with the living room but I could use some advice on sofa cushions. The ones in the photo are from Big Lots and William Sonoma home. I'm thinking of having some custom made. Suggestions? Also do I need to tablescape the plantation desk? It makes it difficult to open if I put things there but I wonder if it looks too bare. , Living Rooms Design

  • Ethnic and Exotic , This room is all about drama. I wanted to feel like a genie inside a bottle with saturated colors and rich patterns and texture. There is an undertone of a Morroccan influence in this room that I love. It's perfect when the incense and candles are lit., Living Rooms Design

  • Great (Potential) Room, Antiques and upholstered furniture have no personality in this space where sterile white walls with dark-stained crown molding turn the room cold industrial and very plain despite the wonderful vaulted ceiling and massive brick fireplace. Not only do the walls need help but the flooring needs overhauling desperately., Living Rooms Design

  • Glam Great Room, Using a combination of comfy leather club chairs sleek white slip-covered upholstery and mirrored/silver accessories I was able to have a space that was both family-friendly and glamourous. I love "drippy" chandeliers - they're like jewelry in a room. Keeping the accessories few and large-scale allow each piece to shine and stand out on its own., Living Rooms Design

  • More DIY Living Room, we made the curios and drapes and re-upholstered the chairs and sofa ourselves. We also recently made the coffee table. .The room has two antique tables, an antique rocker and antique piano chair in the adjoining foyer....all the antiques are family heirlooms.

  • Urban Cottage, This is my first home. It's a mid-century apartment turned condo and was pretty basic when I got. Having lived in rentals my whole life I couldn't wait to own something and paint it according to my whim. The mural and the fauxbois beam were so fun to do. The I build the shelves to accentuate the mid-century horizontal lines. I upholstered the furniture myself and enjoy being surrounded by so many beautiful things., Living Rooms Design

  • Family room with attached 4 season porch, A great room/family room with an outdated stone fireplace in between 2 doors leading to a 4 season porch. My husband dislikes the TV armoire but loves the fireplace. I completley dislike the fireplace but love the armoire. The rug is worn & needs repalcement. The couch, loveseat, and chair with ottoman are all solid red, There are 2 full-sized jukeboxes in the corners of the family room whcih I think tkae up too much space but my husband adores. We have yet to hand pictures on the walls. Speaking of the walls - they are 'unfinished' in that they are not smooth but have swrily bumps like an unfinished ceiling. The attached porch is 1/4 renovated but has plywood walls and no windows on 3 walls & only a subfloor. It had ahad aleakign problem but after all teh moldy, rooted woood was replaced we ran out of funds to finish the removations. The porch dis used to house toys currently as the room is completely unpresentable. Both rooms are in need of 'finishing touch' type removations. Help!, Living Rooms Design
