  • Eclectic Elegance, My bedroom was a dark nightmare before. I only wish I had pictures so that you all could see the major transformation that it has seen. I was a dark maroon red color before - on all four walls - with a bright white ceiling. The bed was placed right in front of the door and it was the first thing you hit when you entered the space. I had too much furniture in the space, so I un-cluttered, re-arranged and spruced up my space. The walls are now a soft blue-green with a light blue ceiling. Crown molding was added for a more elegant look. A wicker chair was added from Peir 1 and a dresser and nightstand was removed. A soft grey diamond patterned silk lines the window with a simple rod at the ceiling for added heigth. Placing eclectic items around the room moves the eyes up to the ceiling and back down. And the darker color of the furniture keeps the eye moving all around the room. This design took place in less than a week! (The only thing missing in the pictures is the new chandelier that I refurbished and painted white.), Bedrooms Design
