I love my kitchen! The reno began with a notion to move the island to improve the flow, creating an ‘eat-in’ kitchen with a new farm table. We ended up doing a full renovation. We did the work ourselves other than installing the granite. Our new kitchen makes me want to cook more and try out new recipes!

We just bought this house and I am in dire need of help for the kitchen it is wide open to the dinning room and nothing in the kitchen PLEASE HELP!!! I don't know what to do... lack of counter space and storage is making this kitchen unbearable not to mention and eye sore for my house.. We were thinking of an island as you can see but we just don't know where to start the appliances don't match and the lights are just awful.

The original space was very outdated with light blue laminate countertops and very poor lighting that only came from a ceiling fan. Recessed cans were installed along with undercabinet lighting. The style achieved is a mix between traditional and modern. The client like the cottage feel of the antique flooring, backsplash, and the colors that we chose but they seemed to stick with simple clean lines. The white and black range will be replaced down the road with a stainless steel one which will blend in with the rest of the space rather than stand out! I hope you like this space, its my first official design!. :

When we bought this home near the beach we loved the location and the "bones", but it's style throughout was 1980s. Every cabinet in the house was yellows oak. We remodeled the entire house, but the kitchen, as well as all of the bathrooms had to be completed torn out and everything replaced. In the center of the small kitchen was an island which left little room to move around so our challenge was to create a new footprint in a very limited space.

U-Shaped layout and improved spacing between appliances, make this kitchen enjoyable for food prep, cooking, and clean up. We reduced the visual clutter by coordinating the floor and backsplash tile, minimized the wood grain pattern by using maple cabinets, and eliminated the fake butcher block pattern by installing the black granite countertops. Defined work spaces were incorporated into the design, so that food prep, clean up, and cooking no longer interfere with each other.
