  • Pretty as a Peacock, This is my guest bedroom decorated for Christmas. I usually like to stick with traditional for Christmas, but I got this idea and just had to do it in the room. I bought all of the pieces of greenery and feathers and created the swags and wreath myself. I bought the 7ft Christmas tree for only $30 at 5am on Black Friday. I thought the green/turquoise color scheme would really pop in my already apple green guest bedroom. , Bedrooms Design

  • Horizontal Stripes and Polka Dots for Girls: Pink, Teal, Lime, Tan, Two little princesses started with a plain light gray room. With the purchase of new bunk beds & new polka dot bedding, we needed something girly to jazz up the new space. We taped off horizontal stripes to coordinate, and the attached bath uses polka dots in the coordinating colors and the same princess theme. It uses bubble gum pink, lime green, light teal/turquoise, and tan/khaki. The wall of baskets was pricey but is invaluable storage for toys and such. The whole project was kid-friendly and fun and on a budget., Girls' Rooms Design

  • Beachy Modern Living Room , I've been moving things around here quite a bit lately:) I finally found the perfect spot for our tiki-hut - it as a little bit too big for the entrance and wasn't very functional there. We have a lot of people over, so it's perfect to keep the glass water container on it all the time now. We also got new ceiling fans - it's very hot here in Hawaii, and I wanted the fans to look more tropical so I got the woven leaf look. We added more seating and changed a few more things around:), Living Rooms Design

  • A Cool Twist on a Tween's Bedroom, Creating a bedroom for a 12 year old that will take her through her teen years can be challenging. I painted the walls a grown-up chocolate brown, then used a colorful mix of bold textiles in her favorite colors for the accessories. If her favorite colors change (and they will) the space can be updated without starting over!, Bedrooms Design

  • Budget-Friendly DIY Kitchen Makeover, The 1990s oak kitchen in my new-to-me lakehouse was dated, worn-out, and provided little storage space. With my Handy Hubby, I removed the upper cabinetry and tile, painted the remaining lower cabinets turquoise, added crisp white paneling, open shelving and DIY pantry, built a DIY solid maple counter, plus added a shiny new sink, faucet, and hardware. It's a temporary solution to get us through the next five years while we save for a major remodel, but we like it so much it might stick around longer!

  • I Love My Fishies, I designed and painted this blue turquoise and lime explosion for my first grandson Mason. The inspiration for this animated sea world was the fabric that my daughter picked for the bedding that I was sewing for the room., Nurseries Design

  • Eclectic turquoise teen bedroom, This is my quick and easy make over for my daughter's room. When she left for college last August, the first thing I did was go into her room and get it ready for a space makeover. Since she's in a dorm, all of her furniture was left and I had a pretty good idea of her style. Bed-in-a-bag from Target, most everything else from Goodwill. I was nervous when she came home for Thanksgiving, but she loved it!, Girls' Rooms Design

  • All Decked Out, Finally we have our beautiful cedar deck completed. It really adds to our home by offering us extended living space directly accessed through the double french doors both in the kitchen and the dining room. We wanted to create a space that welcomed visitors as well as brought back memories of two of our favorite destinations, Sardinia, Italy and South Beach. We are thrilled with the results and have already had the opportunity to host friends here., Patios & Decks Design
