  • Master Bathroom with a View, We recently (finally) renovated / remodeled our master bathroom that had been sitting gutted since the day we bought our house - over 3 1/2 years ago. We finally were able to borrow the lump sum needed to do this massive makeover. The issue with the original bathroom - other than the fact that it was super dated (green wallpaper) and yucky, was that the main drain was cracked and water was leaking to the floor below - into the walls and down to the floor. This is a second story bathroom and below it is the kitchen and dining room. Sadly the previous tenant was using the bathroom even with the broken drain pipes which had caused mold in the walls which we had to get professionally cleaned! Anyway, all that's in the past now and we have a fabulous modern (but comfortable) master bathroom that feels like an expensive hotel / spa and it even has a view of the bay and golden gate bridge!

feel free to follow our blog for the rest of our adventures in home makeover here - - we even have a blog section about how we almost got onto HGTV's curb appeal - shot the reveal and everything before our project was cancelled., Bathrooms Design

  • Cherry & Chocolate Bathroom, This is our "guest" bathroom in the hall. Red is one of my favorite colors, and the shower curtain was my inspiration. The room lacked contrast, and to fix it up, it took around $60. We don't have the time right now to do a complete remodel, so this was my re-vamp in around a day. , Bathrooms Design

  • Half Bath, Totall Change, The downstairs half bathroom in our house was a small and uninteresting space that didn't really express anything at all. After a cheep makeover the room feels more open, bright, welcoming, and definitely more interesting. Now our half bath is totally awesome!, Bathrooms Design

  • Tiny little kitchen, In my kitchen it's so small that if anyone else trys to help me in the kitchen, there just isn't any room. The counter space just isn't enough to prepare a good size meal. The lights about flicker all the time. I had the floor tiled and they didn't put it in right. It's uneven., Kitchens Design

  • Facelift for Masterbath, Although this was a small outdated, dark master bath and has recently undergone a renovation. There were many inspirations, mostly from designers and photo's across the web. We were going for a bright, clean, contemporary look; inspired by a spa-like feel and earthly accent tones., Bathrooms Design

  • Work In Progress--My Retro Bathroom, Another project in the works. My bathroom was straight out of the 80's. While not near completion I have thrown down the gauntlet with the installation of a vintage baby blue American Standard sink and toilet. I'm still searching for the matching tub. When I find it I'll put in a new floor and redo the walls. I'm not sure what material I'll use yet. I'd love to do blue and white tile with chocolate accents!, Bathrooms Design

  • Asian Fusion Minimalist Master, Our master bedroom in our new house. had a single wall in a tan color and we worked with it. Red and gold floral print Waverly fabric was used for the comforter, drapes and shams which were custom-made. The bed is a black painted wood distressed with red showing through, this doesn't show up well in the photos. Two large end tables are used as night stands to work with the large scale of the bed. Bronze metal lamps with red silk shades sit atop them. The artwork on the right nightstand is an artists' original art postcard and scrapbook paper in a $3 frame. The throw at the foot of the bed came from Istanbul, Turkey - it is actually a floor cloth but works well here. The small apple painting on the wall may be too small in scale for the space - am searching for something more appropriate. There is also a matching dresser on the wall opposite the bed that is not shown. , Bedrooms Design

  • Black and White Hollywood Icon Guest Bathroom, This is my ode to old Hollywood. A large mugshot of Frank Sinatra sits above the toilet in my guest bathroom. The vanity holds silver accents such as a tissue box, soap dispenser cover, and a vintage camera box for small bathroom necessities. The main wall is a gallery wall with some of my favorite classic Hollywood stars and movies including Lucille Ball and Elizabeth Taylor in black frames. The lanterns hold candles that I like to light when guests are over. , Bathrooms Design
