This is our large living room with a paladian window overlooking our two acres of land with lots of trees. We just painted the walls in a golden yellow on 3 walls & 1 in a soft sage green, all using suede paint. We also just installed new chocolate brown carpet. It feels so cozy now...we just love it!

My backyard gently drops away down a small hill. The entire hill is double lined with Bradford Pear trees and afford a great deal of privacy to the point of feeling very retreat-like. Please take the time to visit these same trees as they are "dressed" for all 4 seasons.

Brielle's Fairy Garde...

This Fairy Garden Nursery was created with love for my baby girl, Brielle. It included her Fairy Godmothers (my sisters - Auntie Shell and Auntie Sheri hovering over her crib to guard and protect her. The many details were painted with the mindset of entertaining baby while giving mommy time for a few extra zzzzzz's. On the ceiling, the clouds included shapes like a teddy bear, the letter B, hearts and a bunny to name a few.....There were ladybugs and butterflies scattered throughout the room for her to find and point out.
This room also included a hand made custom chandelier, crib bedding and curtains. For the chandelier, I took an old black chandelier, painted it creme and added custom lampshades. I glued purple satin fabric onto the shades then hot glued on tiny purple flowers that matched the bedding and added a satin rope trim to the edges. To add to the garden theme, I hung fake greenery purchased from the floral department at the local craft store. I then topped it off by making a satin fabric sleeve and bunching it up to hide the chain the chandelier hung from. For the final touch, a Styrofoam medallion was attached to the ceiling at the base of the cord.

Breakfast Nook in the ...

We fell in love with the view and love to have breakfast with the birds. The treetops are still bare but by May it will look like the canopy of a rain forest. I can't wait it's been a loooooooong cold winter!!!

This room has evolved over time. It has a calm feeling and even though blue can be a very cold color the "yellow flicker" of the walls makes it feel warm. This room overlooks the treetops and with the blue of the sky you feel like the outdoors has come indoors. This is my first time posting and I hope you enjoy my space.

We don't live in typical New York apartment space. After a short 25 minute ride from midtown Manhattan it feels nice to come home to our tranquil oasis in our Queens Tudor duplex. From the master bedroom we look out to treetops and gardens below.
