So we took over the roof! We planters in containers! The lower roof area is devoted to vegetable gardening. The upper area is for relaxing and perennial plants. Besides flowers we have fruit trees, grape vines and more! We have a seating area and a dining area. Eventually we will add a pergola for the wisteria and winter hardy kiwi vines to climb. • COLOR CHOICE MADE FOR THIS OLD HOME!!, This has been a very tough descision to make..I do not like to pick colors, escpecially when they will be on the home for 30+ yrs hopefully.. The roof we had put on the house in 1999..And it is brown,,(thinking should have been different) anyways, that limits choices of colors..THE COLORS WE PICKED WILL BE A WICKER FOR HOUSE, ALMOND FOR THE TRIM AND TRIM PIECES, AND BLACK SHUTTERS FOR THE TOP WINDOW.And a crown above the window to match the rest of the windows but in almond..IT WILL ONLY BE THE TOP AND THE DORMERS TO BE SIDED RIGHT NOW!Due to money constrants,Baby steps..We picked Mastic Brentwood siding If we do not get to siding next yr..I will paint the other parts..Except the back which definetley needs to be sided..Way to tall.. I will post pics when done.., Home Exterior Design

  • Long and narrow rooftop terrace, I am blessed with a 56 ft outdoor terrace. the problem is it is only 7 1/2 ft wide along most of it. The area off the living room opens to 10 1/2 ft X 11 ft. Still, it's a challenge. The wood floor already existed and could not be changed (I rent). I am also not allowed to put any anchors in the brick walls or overhang. All in all, I feel it's not bad. And the 15th floor views are spectacular!, Patios & Decks Design
