My living room in my current apartment. Inspired by modern/chic decor. I decorated it myself. My inspiration comes from stores such as West Elm, Target, and Crate & Barrel.

One of the popular choices among homeowners to decorate their bathroom is slate bathroom tiles. With this tile, one can get the natural look and is available at affordable prices compared to the tiles made of marble or granite. Homeowners are advised to buy slate bathroom tiles from a reliable and recommended store.

Over the course of three months, this modest little bathroom received quite the overhaul as it was torn to pieces and reconstructed to match our simplistic, clean-lined aesthetic. On a tight budget of $1,500, we fit in a lot and were able to update the room from floor to ceiling.

Instead of complaining about how unhappy I was with the look of my kitchen, and even more disappointed with my budget of $400. I was able to save ALOT of money by repurposing items from storage and other rooms.
I used Rustoleum Liquid Laminate paint to resurface my faux- marble look. It comes in 16 different colors.
I had really good wood cabinets but it was too dark in my kitchen because there was only window and not a lot of light. I really wanted to brighten up the kitchen by painting the cabinets white.
Behr has this great paint and primer in one. After sanding the cabinets it really saved a lot of time.
I used the Simple Matte Tile Solution and the Simple Grout (which was pre mixed and mess free I used 1/4 inch tile spacers and GOT BUSY!
I changed the light fixtures and replaced them with silver pendant lights from ikea.
In the end we spent $414. I have to say that my kitchen is now my new favorite room in the house. If you dont like your kitchen you have the power and the resources to change it!

Our kitchen is pretty small since we're in a condo. It's got little tiles for counters which is a pain to clean. We've utilized as much space as possible with the poorly designed cabinets. It's served us well but we're ready to give it a face lift.

This entry and living room was a bit outdated and the carpet in the main thoroughfare had to go! Why builders put carpet in a high traffic area I'll never understand-oh yeah it's cheaper! Everything is new including tile paint artworkall new furniture accessoriesand a revamped fireplace.

This bathroom was a small long bathroom that my children used while living at home. It was very chopped up with a small builders grade double vanity, an oversized linen closet with a door that let into the bathtub/toilet area that was so tight that you had to literally step into the tub to shut the door. We decided to open the space by taking out the closet and wall with door that led to the toilet area. We removed the tub, had the area enlarged by 8 inches for a walk in shower with a bench. (preparing for elderly parents We had the toilet moved over a bit and added 2 pedestal sinks. At first we were not going to put the tile up the wall, but added as the project progressed. I am very glad that we did.
