  • (updated) Anna & My Therapy after Hurricane Katrina, There was no way to stay out of the picture, the bathroom is that small. This is my tiny tiny 1/2 bath that seems to look small no matter what color we paint. So after we fled La from Katrina we came home and recooperated from that awful disaster. My sister had to leave her home because of too much damage (tree thru roof). We had minor damage. With this wonderful time together this is how we spent it. We did what we could with this small space. Do tell what you think I would love to hear. But no matter what I have a memory of her and how much life is so sacred., Bathrooms Design

  • Economic Meltdown Therapy, With all of the depressing economic news lately I needed some inexpensive therapy. Luckily for me one maple had an incredibly vibrant fall display. After harvesting some of the finest leaves I glued them to my door then clear polyurethaned over them. Needing still a bit more therapy I took a Q-Tip and painted all the stems. Not only did I enjoy doing this but it truly took my mind off the world for about 4 hours! I wish I had more doors!, Home Exterior Design

  • Split Personality Living Space Needs Therapy!, This is the living room of our new house that we haven't moved into yet. (not our furniture) It has so much potential but I am struggling with how to use the room that is connected to it. My thought is to make it the "family/media" room and separate it with distressed, french doors. There are so many windows, which I love, but it might make TV viewing difficult. I love the slate floor but not the wood paneling, and will want to paint it. There isn't any other space for the TV room, so I need to make the most of this space...Any furniture seen in these photos is NOT staying. , Living Rooms Design

  • Beautifully Ugly, We are young professionals, recent college graduates...all of our furniture is either handed down...or repurposed. We are renting so no paint. I try to work with what I have, once we take that step and buy a house...I hope to make our space a place for our dreams. For now, we will work hard to make a futon look the best that it can...and we'll ignore those verticle blinds. For the sake of my self-esteem, please take that into consideration while you're about to select the single star=}, Living Rooms Design
