  • Twilight Bedroom, This is my idea for a twilight themed bedroom. I originally designed it for a teenager but it could be for an adult also. The main colors are Red, Black, and White. • Royal Purple Zebra Teen Girls' Room, A 15 year old girl's dream room, painted a royal purple with 2 accents walls with grey on top, a white stripe through the middle, and the same shade of purple on the bottom. There are Christmas lights strung across the top of the entire room, as well as a chandelier sticker on the bed wall. There is a mannequin next to the closet doors, and the corner next to the entrance is complete with a full-length mirror and jewelry hanger on the opposite wall. On the largest wall next to the entrance, the wall is FILLED with One Direction posters with a (really messy) desk decorated for Christmas. These pictures were taken in December 2013, so yes there is some holiday decor around the room. She designed everything herself, picked out the color scheme and all the furniture, as well as the polka dot curtains and grey carpeting. Around the room are pictures of her and her dance team, and theater club in which she was in several plays. Enjoy and feel free to leave comments and suggesitons!!, Girls' Rooms Design

  • Bedroom Makeover For A Boy (11yo), This is the bedroom I transformed for my son. During our home search, he found one with similar colors and naturally wanted us to buy the home based off of the 'cool' room. The best way to surprise him was to make him his own. I hand painted those stripes (VERY bad idea for a first-timer). All items in the room were bought on clearance except the paint and painting supplies. A friend custom made the mirrored stainless steel skaters., Boys' Rooms Design

  • Outer SPACE to SPACIOUS for Teen Boy, Before and After Pitures show it all!
My son's SPACE themed room was filled with clutter and had poorly placed furniture. It's been this way since he was 5 and not suitable for a growing 13 year old. We sent him away to camp for a week and he returned to an extreme makeover, he was clueless! Orange is his favorite color, so a couple months in advance, I selected bedding and went from there. I reused items, such as his dresser and shelving by painting them. I used 5" bed raisers and now have 6 plastic boxes for neat storage ($4.50 each at Walmart), instead of toy boxes. The bed skirt was made from a $7 flat sheet. I measured from the box spring to the floor, added 4 inches and atttached it to the boxspring with upholstery tacks. I used the existing hem, so no sewing required! Straw circle placemats for the headboard to accent the bedding pattern. The curtains are microfiber and by using one panel, I created a short curtain for above the desk, had to hem the bottom and sides. Then a skirt to hide the computer tower by adding a top hem and hung with upholstery tacks, my new best friend. I have one panel left over for future accents...maybe a chest for the foot of the bed and use it for a top cushion or throw pillows. I didn't have the heart or time to tear Spaceship Columbia off the wall, so we covered it with beadboard & trimmed with moulding. Let me warn you...there isn't a roller nap that will get in the grooves...they need to be painted with a brush. It was very time consuming and we felt like Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn! We added a remote controlled ceiling fan with light and a flushmount light above the computer. Added a full bed, lockers and some extra shelving and storage bins. In the future, we're changing the trim & doors to white. Our son is picking a couple pieces of artwork and that should finish it up. It took my husband and I two whole days of hard work, but the outcome was well worth the surprise on our son's face!, Boys' Rooms Design

  • Grown-up Girly, I did a room makeover for my boyfriend's daughter last month for her birthday. She turned twelve, so I wanted to give her something a little more grown up, but I still wanted it to be fun. I decided to do black and white prints as my base, and then use green and purple as my accents., Girls' Rooms Design

  • Recycled Teen Girl Tie dye Room, This teens room was created for $12. We found items and paint in the basement and just painted or re-purposed them. The biggest impact was the Tye Die focal wall I painted and the desk that was created from spray painting old speakers (which still work) and painting an old loft desk top.
