  • My corner of the garage, I needed a small space to store my riding gear so I cleaned out a corner of the garage to create a tack room/entry. The furnishings were collected from my attic and basement and the only cost was 34.00 for the wall mural. The rug has a few small rips but is still in good shape and is comfortable. The wood was left over cedar siding that we cut to frame the mural and make a shelf for boots. , Garages Design

  • RENTAL ReSTYLE: SUMMER LIVING , Although I don't switch out the window panels as often here in our AZ rented home, I do still enjoy changes the accents for the seasons. Pillow covers, travel treasure and some framed fabric added color and lightness to our living room for Summer. And a $5 thrift find from here in AZ - the bar cart - Gave a space to pull out some extra barware for entertaining, and making a pitcher of margaritas! Adding the blues helped keep the space cool for the hot Arizona summer..., Living Rooms Design

  • The Posh Place to Wash - My Laundry Room!, My laundry room is adjacent to the garage so it is the first space I see when I get home and the last space I see before I leave each day. I wanted to make sure it was a bright fun and happy space. I have also always wanted to paint a room robin's egg blue or tiffany blue - and this was really the only place where I could get away with it! , Kitchens Design

  • RENTAL ReSTYLE: GUEST DEN, After Hurricane Sandy in 2012, I made a major purge of closets and storage areas around here I made donations to local thrift establishments and sent donations to New Jersey Sandy Survivors. With the spaces being cleared, it made it easier to get the house holiday & guest ready. Using items I already had plus some pieces I had collected from thrift, I was able to convert the last room in our rental home into a guest space for under $450. Mixing in wood pieces and collected baskets added texture plus helped warm the otherwise grey + black + white space. I created another gallery wall with photos I captured in Florida & framed - a nice little escape for us here in AZ. Because most pieces were already on hand - minus the sleep sofa - I was able to get this space done in a day. What helped a lot was the existing neutral foundation of gray walls and the beige carpet. • Princess room for three, We lost our son and daughter in law in Oct. 2012 and found we would be sharing in the raising of our three grand-daughters. We wanted them to feel overwhelming love and have a magical place to just be little girls and let their imagination run free. The castle was born! We created this room with mostly recycled furniture and some wood and about 5 gallons of paint. We think it came out beautiful. Three tone walls, custom bed, and darling chandelier, make this room a magical spot in our home. , Girls' Rooms Design

  • Fairy Garden, After starting to build my children's tree house village, I looked down and thought, If I want this to be a truly magical place, I would like to see something magical everywhere! My friend Beth Nichols and I decided to create a Fairy Garden to encourage a magical experience! Our tree houses are still being built (as you may see some construction materials in the background of my photos), but I feel that the garden is well done!
