A reclaimed old barn door cut to fit- an cozy covered porch with painted chairs to set and watch the horses run..and a hitchin' post. • My corner of the garage, I needed a small space to store my riding gear so I cleaned out a corner of the garage to create a tack room/entry. The furnishings were collected from my attic and basement and the only cost was 34.00 for the wall mural. The rug has a few small rips but is still in good shape and is comfortable. The wood was left over cedar siding that we cut to frame the mural and make a shelf for boots. , Garages Design

  • Birthday Project, My sister and I made over my Dad's room for his birthday. It's my VERY first time doing anything like this, so please keep criticism kind! I am open to suggestions for next time, and we are still going to make small changes, like new dressers, a new nightstand, maybe some sheers, and something to go on the wall above the bed. The first few pictures should be the before... anything with terrible reddish sponged walls is before if not! As if you can't tell..., Bedrooms Design

  • Living Room to Dining Room Conversion, Converted this unused living room space to a formal dining room all by myself. Room projects: Removed carpet sanded and stained floor; applied the Moonlit Weave paint technique to walls (Douch Boy Textured Medium and Metalic Paint); transformed dresser to buffet; upholstered buffet top and closet door; made candeleer mirror and curtains. The entire room is candelight only. With the windows being shadow boxes whenever I wanted to have more light I just lined them with more candles., Dining Rooms Design

  • The Posh Place to Wash - My Laundry Room!, My laundry room is adjacent to the garage so it is the first space I see when I get home and the last space I see before I leave each day. I wanted to make sure it was a bright fun and happy space. I have also always wanted to paint a room robin's egg blue or tiffany blue - and this was really the only place where I could get away with it! , Kitchens Design

  • Bonus Room Boredom, How boring! This 16 X 14 bonus room is the only space in our house that we can't seem to make our own, yet it's where we spend the majority of our time together! It lacks style, has very little functionality and is just plain drab. We feel that the rest of our house has the style, comfort, and openess that we want to project but this room is where we spend our down time together with our lovable border collie, Panda. The trouble is that the room is located immediately at the top of the stairs so it's the first room you see. The challeng is that it's oddly shaped with vaulted ceilings, two windows on one wall, and a closet on the other. It's definitely a decorating delimma that we can't seem to master. • Bedroom Makeover For A Boy (11yo), This is the bedroom I transformed for my son. During our home search, he found one with similar colors and naturally wanted us to buy the home based off of the 'cool' room. The best way to surprise him was to make him his own. I hand painted those stripes (VERY bad idea for a first-timer). All items in the room were bought on clearance except the paint and painting supplies. A friend custom made the mirrored stainless steel skaters., Boys' Rooms Design
