  • My Sunken Patio, I'm originally from South America so my objective for this space was to mimic the lushness of the tropical gardens of my early years. I don't know if I succeeded but I really like the way it turned out. Thanks for visiting my space.

  • Natural Patio Oasis in a Neighborhood, This is the first phase of a natural oasis backyard project in a large neighborhood. This phase includes paver patios in a variety of materials to add texture, natural boulders, gas firepit, sitting wall, natural stone fountain, landscaping, low-voltage lighting. A natural shape inground pool with waterfall, extended paver patio space, a pergola and more landscaping is to go along with the next phases. This space went from a blank, flat backyard to a natural oasis in a suburban neighborhood! , Patios & Decks Design

  • Tropical "Staycation" in Sunny Florida, We have almost finally completed the renovation of our backyard "staycation" patio area, to enjoy in sunny Florida. We live in a gated subdivision where unfortunatly our lot backs to another street with houses. We wanted to make our backyard area a place we could use as an extension to our house. One of our main concerns was adding pricacy for ourselves, and also the neighbors that directly back to our house. I think we've finally achieved our goal. The only thing remaining is to add lights for the evenings, and lastly a outside fireplace.

  • 800 Pound Gorilla, Our living room is on the larger size with an open cathedral ceiling. The room is sunken two feet lower than the rest of the house. The walls and ceiling are natural cedar, with one area of painted drywall. My husband got a large plasma TV for Christmas and it is now the 800 pound gorilla in our space. I would call the design/style of this space "country cabin clutter". I've recently rearranged the furniture to "try" making it cozier. Not sure that I hit the mark. I would love a cleaner, brighter look to the room, with built-in cabinets on each side of the fireplace and textured (hand-cut feel) real hardwood floors. I love retro-contemporary with outdoor colors (garden sage green, robin egg blue, sea glass green & blue, autumn leaves). , Living Rooms Design

  • wood paneled living room with stained glass, It may sound classy but it's not! This room was an addition at one point and the stained glass leads into the bathroom. I know the couch is horrible, it was a free believe it or not! The highlight of the room is the tv. The room is very narrow and it's very difficult to place furniture. There are windows on one side of the room and because it is sunken there are two stairs on the other., Media Rooms Design
