  • Creative and Colorful, I did this a year ago, for my 11th birthday. My old room was getting old, (ironic!) so this was a great present. I saw a rug online and I loved it instantly. After that, I knew what colors and furniture I wanted and I threw it all together to create my new room! Please rate and comment on my room, I love feedback!, Girls' Rooms Design

  • Nautical Nursery for Boy/Girl Twins, We knew that we wanted to have a classic, nautical nursery with whimsical touches that would fit for a boy and a girl. We started with our budget and worked to find or make each item so that it would fit within our budget. We love this room because it has the perfect combination of DIY touches and other classic accessories. More pictures and a complete source and DIY tutorial list can be found here:, Nurseries Design

  • Mid-Century Modern Dining, This is the Dining Area of my home which I designed and built about 35 years ago. Photos of the Exterior can be seen under the Home Exterior tab. The house is a simple rectilinear shape that encloses a completely open interior space defined by independent partitions and other elements such as the fireplace and the kitchen cabinetry.
There are no interior doors at all, except for storage and the Guest Bath. The interior space flows freely throughout all areas. I wanted the feeling of a vacation home that I could live in year round.

  • Fun, Family & Friends, This room was once a 20' x 20' porch on the back side of our home. We decided to make a family room that has turned into a multi-function space i.e. TV room, office, excerise and music rehearsal. I just recently found a Transitional 8' x 11' area rug that inspired me to make over the room. There is a lot of dark furniture in the space with the basic colors of chocolate brown, tan & blue. I need color on the walls and window treatments but not sure if I should use blue or tan on the walls. Appreciate any suggestions.
