  • 50's Ranch turned modern cottage, We've worked for the past 10 yrs to remodel our 1951 ranch. Our kitchen was a typical 50's kitchen. I drew out plans with pencil and paper of what I wanted and we gutted it!!!!! Other than cabinetry and some trim work we did the rest from texturing to painting to wood fill caulking subway tile back splash and staining the ceiling bead board. Our kitchen also features a roll away island that I designed. It's housed under wall mounted antique china hutch. , Kitchens Design

  • Small Kitchen Inspiration in "Periwinkle ", A Small "U' Shape Kitchen can be packed full of style and function. The goal was to create a space that felt like a fresh waterfront look that is also modern with a hint of vintage details. Equally important to the redesign was function and maximum storage. I think we accomplished both in this kitchen in our weekend Lake House. Let me know what your thoughts are....thanks for your time. , Kitchens Design

  • Romantic Dining, I chose a Garnet color for our walls and my dad helped me with the stripe technique. The stained glass was custom made for the transoms because we have an east facing house. They help cut down on the UV rays coming in. Plus I love them!!!, Dining Rooms Design

  • Family Room, This room is positioned between the mudroom (going out to the garage) and the kitchen. There is often a trail of clutter that travels from place to place and often lands in the open spaces in here. The furniture is worn out and an odd mix of modern danish style and exotic finds from international travels. I'd like to give the room a more cohesive look and pick a theme. I'm thinking along the lines of Modern Moroccan., Other Spaces Design

  • My living room needs a bit more tweeking, I purchased tapestry & my mother made me cornices. I love them but I am not 100% sure about the sheer curtains. (I NEED YOUR IDEAS FOR CURTAINS!) I have extra tapestry & plan on making a new cushion for the chair & a new table runner. The maroon wall also needs to be toned down a bit maybe the color of my sofa? I also would like a dark olive area rug. The kitchen green was taken from the cornices it doesn't look it in the photos but they are the same green. , Living Rooms Design

  • 1973 Kitchen, We moved in to this 1973 time capsule last year. I cannot wait to get rid of the popcorn ceiling the blue fruitbowl wallpaper and the horrible linoleum. • Terminal Kitchen - is there a doctor in the house?!, Small, gally style 1977 mountain home kitchen. House sat vacant one year before purchase and had lacked care. The width is so narrow we cannot walk around each other if cooking together. We take turns moving about. Doors, drawers falling off cabinets; old faux wood panel on walls, double linoleum lined floors several stained and dented. Large gaps between cabinets and huge space where stove sits. we bought new appliances that has an exhaust but no vent. Hole in ceiling where pipes leaked and needed to be replumed. Gaps around sink area and cabinet. Antiquated a.c. unit was removed from wall leaving a huge opening which was filled in and insulated. We would like to knock out the wall by the fridge and move the appliances to the front of the kitchen, putting in a pantry where the stove is. We would like to open up the kitchen into the dining area making a larger, open space. Help us, please!, Kitchens Design
