  • Small Bedroom, I have a very limited budget as well as very limited space. I needed to be creative with both so I purchased inexpensive shelves at Thrift stores, painted them all white and attached them on the wall next to my bed instead of the usual nightstands. Now I have a place to charge my cell phone, put my book and reading glasses., Bedrooms Design

  • My NW Modern but warm Great Room, I wanted this design to have a touch of NW contemporary and use many neutral colors and materials while having a few splashes of color. The feature wall with dry stack ledgestone houses the Montigo "widescreen" ribbon flame fireplace. The flat panel TV is attached to a custom cabinet door that swings open for additional storage behind. I've always liked "cozy" reading areas and the fireplace offers 2 nooks to read a book and have views through the windows., Living Rooms Design

  • Laundry room fix up!!, This is a do it yourself project. The front loading washer and dryer made it possible to use the wasted space used for the vents of the dryer. The huge folding table cut the clutter my kitchen and gave me room to fold. The built in sink made room to hide the Laundry baskets and garbage., Bathrooms Design

  • Simple Pleasure, My bathroom was tiny and the space was not very attractive or functional. There was empty space behind the wall in back of the toilet so we used that space to install custom cabinets. We splurged on some must haves and accessorized with great bargain items. The pictures on the wall were photos which I put into frames that I had stored away for years and the accent tiles in the shower area were a bargain at the tile store. To keep it cohesive I went with a square theme from the ceiling tile design to the knobs on the cabinets and stuck to all matching fixtures in an antique bronze finish. My favorite splurge was the countertop which I fell in love with because of it's unique quality and design. My son did all of the work, so of course it makes my little spa-like retreat even more appreciated. It is still small but at least the space I do have is being used more efficiently and everything can be neatly put away. It is truly my Simple Little Pleasure.

  • my daughter's room, this is my older's daughter's room(unfinished). Her bed is on top of the closet space. Within the closet is the door to the bathroom. The window seat needs to be upholstered and will add some colorful cushions. There are drawers both under the seat and in the bottom 3 steps leading up. , Girls' Rooms Design

  • Laundry Room Needs Space Saving Ideas, I painted our laundry room/ entrance area in 6175 Sagey by SW. I need ideas on how to use this tiny room with space saving ideas. A way to hide the electrical box would be nice. Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated. The laundry area leads into the kitchen so my plan is to paint the kitchen with the same green color. I put this in the Kitchen section because there isn't a Laundry room area! , Kitchens Design

  • Baby's Nursery ' Star Serenity', Pastel colorblocked wall (subtle stimulation) 3 contrasting walls done in the same green (but half-cut) resulting in a softer shade in the same hue. Colors were matched to fabric. (A waffle weave textured polyester cotton. ) All painting and sewn accessories were done by myself. It is a tiny room and very serene. Floating shevles and a small accent carpet has since been added. (March 25th/08 -I have left this room up for reference of a 'color-blocked wall'. ), Nurseries Design

  • Small kitchen for a small house, Modest kitchen in our small 2BR/1BA bungalow/cottage house. It's small but all rooms are. We've toyed with idea of braking down walls to give more space. Losing one wall would mean losing a bedroom but it is so teenie anyways. Once we finish our basement maybe we can make up for the lost bedroom down there? We've also thought about space saving appliances like counter-depth refrigerators. Still trying to get a clearer idea of what space should look like., Kitchens Design

  • Country/Victorian Charming Child's Room, UNDER CONSTRUCTION-This was a modern cold cramped and cluttered kid's room shared by our 17 and 6yr old girls. We decided to redo for our youngest so it would be all her decor when the oldest moves out. Any room can look good till you actually use it. The trick is to design so it has the look you want and the storage and organization to make it still look good when you actually live in it. With a child's room this is always a special challenge!, Bedrooms Design
