This bedroom was done using a faux finish technique. The base color was a soft pink and the top color is a soft purple. It complements with all the rest of the colors in the room.

My bedroom was a dark nightmare before. I only wish I had pictures so that you all could see the major transformation that it has seen. I was a dark maroon red color before - on all four walls - with a bright white ceiling. The bed was placed right in front of the door and it was the first thing you hit when you entered the space. I had too much furniture in the space, so I un-cluttered, re-arranged and spruced up my space.
The walls are now a soft blue-green with a light blue ceiling. Crown molding was added for a more elegant look. A wicker chair was added from Peir 1 and a dresser and nightstand was removed. A soft grey diamond patterned silk lines the window with a simple rod at the ceiling for added heigth. Placing eclectic items around the room moves the eyes up to the ceiling and back down. And the darker color of the furniture keeps the eye moving all around the room. This design took place in less than a week!
(The only thing missing in the pictures is the new chandelier that I refurbished and painted white.

We wanted to create a very girly space with touches of sophistication. We accomplished this with our color palate and simple decor. We used soft, subdued shades of pink and white juxtaposed with pops of bright lime green. We are very happy with the end result, creating a space our baby girl can enjoy for many years to come.

We wanted a space that was feminine, but not over the top so our baby girl could grow up in her room for years before She might want us to do some redecorating. The butterflies on the wall are cut out from left over wedding invites I designed when we were married from a thick pearlized paper. The drapes are shear with embroidered butterflies (white-on-white, the chair moulding is 30% up the wall with a soft white color on the bottom. The wall mounted shelves were mounted for later photos we could easily switch out rather than mounting pictures flat. This all gives the room a organic, soft and feminine feel in the end and we are happy to say we did everything ourselves, but build the furniture :-

This Fairy Garden Nursery was created with love for my baby girl, Brielle. It included her Fairy Godmothers (my sisters - Auntie Shell and Auntie Sheri hovering over her crib to guard and protect her. The many details were painted with the mindset of entertaining baby while giving mommy time for a few extra zzzzzz's. On the ceiling, the clouds included shapes like a teddy bear, the letter B, hearts and a bunny to name a few.....There were ladybugs and butterflies scattered throughout the room for her to find and point out.
This room also included a hand made custom chandelier, crib bedding and curtains. For the chandelier, I took an old black chandelier, painted it creme and added custom lampshades. I glued purple satin fabric onto the shades then hot glued on tiny purple flowers that matched the bedding and added a satin rope trim to the edges. To add to the garden theme, I hung fake greenery purchased from the floral department at the local craft store. I then topped it off by making a satin fabric sleeve and bunching it up to hide the chain the chandelier hung from. For the final touch, a Styrofoam medallion was attached to the ceiling at the base of the cord.

This mid-century modern guest bedroom combines modern, masculine lines of metal furniture with an antique cherry dresser. The room is softened by the feminine colors and textures of the spa colored bedding and accessories along with the warm tones of the soft gray duvet cover and paint.

This mural includes children's songs, fables, nursery rhymes, and tons of tiny critters and animals to keep a baby entertained. I created this nursery for my first born son Reed. I was 8 months pregnant when I began painting it. This was my favorite project because it was the first time I got to create a project for my own child.

Our bath room was added onto our house years ago but we just got it done. We wanted to make it both cozy and colorful yet suitable for my husband who turns his nose up at girly looks. This why we choose the tan shades of paint. We think it turned out perfect for us!

Here is a side of my pretty large bedroom. this is the only side where the bed works but I need to figure our a color sceme for bedding and walls. I need to keep the baseboards the same (dark brown stain so that all the wood in the house matches. the furniture also needs to stay.
