  • Reed's Nursery Rhyme Nursery, This mural includes children's songs, fables, nursery rhymes, and tons of tiny critters and animals to keep a baby entertained. I created this nursery for my first born son Reed. I was 8 months pregnant when I began painting it. This was my favorite project because it was the first time I got to create a project for my own child. , Nurseries Design

  • Eclectic Elegance, My bedroom was a dark nightmare before. I only wish I had pictures so that you all could see the major transformation that it has seen. I was a dark maroon red color before - on all four walls - with a bright white ceiling. The bed was placed right in front of the door and it was the first thing you hit when you entered the space. I had too much furniture in the space, so I un-cluttered, re-arranged and spruced up my space.
The walls are now a soft blue-green with a light blue ceiling. Crown molding was added for a more elegant look. A wicker chair was added from Peir 1 and a dresser and nightstand was removed. A soft grey diamond patterned silk lines the window with a simple rod at the ceiling for added heigth. Placing eclectic items around the room moves the eyes up to the ceiling and back down. And the darker color of the furniture keeps the eye moving all around the room. This design took place in less than a week!
(The only thing missing in the pictures is the new chandelier that I refurbished and painted white.), Bedrooms Design

  • Baby Cait's Room, We wanted to create a very girly space with touches of sophistication. We accomplished this with our color palate and simple decor. We used soft, subdued shades of pink and white juxtaposed with pops of bright lime green. We are very happy with the end result, creating a space our baby girl can enjoy for many years to come., Girls' Rooms Design

  • Contemporary/Post Modern Dinning Room Built In Hutch And Display, We were contacted by a designer based in Arizona. The designer had a client moving from Arizona to the New York metro area and she needed a local millwork contractor to supply a built in the clients new apartment.

The built in was to be contemporary/modern and cubist in nature. The unit measures about twelve feet long and is 85" high. It is manufactured from solid and Maple veneer. The stain color is a blended/custom ebonized cherry stain mixed up by our lacquer supplier. The glass has a sandblasted effect achieved by the use of a glass film.

The unit incorporates various nooks and cubbies. Some behind glass wood sliding doors, on top, some behind glass and wood hinged doors, and some open. The large open middle portion is for art work and has two halogen down light pucks on a dimmer. Below the art nook is a top that runs through the unit and allows the couples children some work space to do their homework. There is also a wine rack incorporated into the units lower right section., Living Rooms Design

  • Dressing Room Island, This project was created by a client posting her desire for a custom made dresser. I visited her to get a feel for the rest of the decor in her home and the outcome is what is shown. The dresser is modern in the true sense of the style but might also be considered contemporary. The interior is clear coated plain sliced Maple veneer. The exterior was lacquered to match a Benjamin Moore paint color and then clear coated with additional lacquer. Being a minimalist piece the client picked out the perfect match of hardware to fit the rest of the decor in the room. The bases are clad in polished chrome Metal Mica. The drawers are constructed in Russian Birch and have box joints. The slides for the drawers are Acuride Dynaflex soft close., Bedrooms Design

  • The Buttery Butterfly, We wanted a space that was feminine, but not over the top so our baby girl could grow up in her room for years before She might want us to do some redecorating. The butterflies on the wall are cut out from left over wedding invites I designed when we were married from a thick pearlized paper. The drapes are shear with embroidered butterflies (white-on-white), the chair moulding is 30% up the wall with a soft white color on the bottom. The wall mounted shelves were mounted for later photos we could easily switch out rather than mounting pictures flat. This all gives the room a organic, soft and feminine feel in the end and we are happy to say we did everything ourselves, but build the furniture :-), Nurseries Design

  • Brielle's Fairy Garden Nursery, This Fairy Garden Nursery was created with love for my baby girl, Brielle. It included her Fairy Godmothers (my sisters - Auntie Shell and Auntie Sheri) hovering over her crib to guard and protect her. The many details were painted with the mindset of entertaining baby while giving mommy time for a few extra zzzzzz's. On the ceiling, the clouds included shapes like a teddy bear, the letter B, hearts and a bunny to name a few.....There were ladybugs and butterflies scattered throughout the room for her to find and point out.
This room also included a hand made custom chandelier, crib bedding and curtains. For the chandelier, I took an old black chandelier, painted it creme and added custom lampshades. I glued purple satin fabric onto the shades then hot glued on tiny purple flowers that matched the bedding and added a satin rope trim to the edges. To add to the garden theme, I hung fake greenery purchased from the floral department at the local craft store. I then topped it off by making a satin fabric sleeve and bunching it up to hide the chain the chandelier hung from. For the final touch, a Styrofoam medallion was attached to the ceiling at the base of the cord. , Nurseries Design
