  • Master Bedroom, Long and narrow with the door in middle of one long wall, 2 windows opposite, and a window at each end. It has tongue and groove redwood strips for wall covering and that soft cardboard-like tile on its low slanted ceiling. The only square part of the room is opposite the door so we put our bed there. Each end has slanted ceilings. One end has dressers and dressing area, the other is my home office.
We want to move the bed under one of the slanted ceilings and possibly use a dresser to divide the office area from the bedroom. Also like the thought of painting the ceiling a light blue shade. , Bedrooms Design

  • A start on my daughters dream suite., This is a tricky room to do anything with because of the extreme slanted ceiling and lack of a real window so, without buying a thing, we have made a dramatic improvement in this area creating something that I even I like hanging out in.Just playing with the space has given us a whole bunch of ideas to try when we can afford to. , Girls' Rooms Design

  • Not so master bedroom, Large, odd shaped masterbedroom. I'm not sure what to do with the slanted wall. I'm sure there is something cool that could be done. I am hating the wall color because I think my furniture blends in- but I painted it 3 years ago and since then have had 2 kids and have no time to paint a room this size! We watch tv every morning and night in this room and I need to be able to see it. Currently I could use binoculars to see it from the bed to the 3 piece armoir. I also don't know what to do with the window. I want treatments but don't know how to dress a bay., Bedrooms Design

  • outdated living room, We just moved into a house that we LOVE, but it was built in the 50s and that is really obvious from the living room. The room is pretty big, but the ugly stone fireplace is definitely the focal point. The entire ceiling slants upwards towards the fireplace. The wall across from the fireplace has wide windows with plantation shutters. Help!, Living Rooms Design

  • Huge space with no personality., The living room is a large room which most people would be happy to have, but it has always baffled me on how to set-up furniture. We have a fireplace with french doors on either side and the other 3 walls have door openings. One wall is set-up for the cable, the wall next to the kitchen, I want to tear down, but the living room ceiling is slanted and the kitchen is not, so how do you open that wall up and have it look right? The ceiling in the LR is gross. There is a horrible texture and the previous owners must have had some roof leaks. There are areas on the ceiling where someone tried to fix the texture and it looks really bad. I want to get rid of the texture all together., Living Rooms Design

  • Easy Victorian Ceiling Solution!!!, I finally got the ceiling finished in my master bedroom. I had to find an inexpensive solution to the ugly popcorn drop ceiling tiles, so I went with 2x2 tiles from made by Ceilume. I was able to use the existing grid. The tiles were only $4.95 each. Along with the new medallion I was able to get a new ceiling for under $200!!!, Bedrooms Design
