March 2013 we decided to hire out the last big remodel, upstairs "jack & Jill" bath. With one toilet, a second sink area neither used, and three pocket doors breaking up the space, we needed a better bath. We got 2 full modern baths with one as off master suite.

This is a newly constructed master bathroom. I went with a vintage feel using hexagon tiles on shower floor and adding a claw foot tub. Dark beadboard cabinetry, glass knobs and carrara marble counters. I was inspired by a recent stay at Watch Hill's newly rebuilt Oceanhouse Hotel in Rhode Island.
Wall paint color is Benjamin Moore Beach Glass.

Everything original 1959 pink bath with pink tub, sink, toilet, pink tile floor, pink tile countertop, and giant window right inside the shower. This bath had one light fixture over the sink, and one over the tub area. Although this hall bath had been well maintained, it needed to be freshened up on a tight budget.
Researched reglazing for the tub, and walls. Replaced the tile floor, vanity, sink, and toilet. Added 4 recessed lights, 2 wall sconces on dimmers. Raised the shower head up by 11 inches and added sprayer.
Now, this bath has all the bells and whistles of a high end bath, and our total spent was right about $1,400.

I've always loved cottage style and the relaxed feel it has. I've lived in this home for 30 years and have planted and replanted just about every inch that I can get my hands on. We have lots of shade so I had to create a small flower garden on the 5 foot strip of ground which gets full sun along the south side of the house.

BUILT IN 1962 THIS MID-CENTURY HOME WAS DESIGNED BY THE ARCHITECTURAL FIRM OF PALMER AND KRISEL AND BUILT BY THE ALEXANDER BUILDING COMPANY WHO BUILT ABOUT 2500 HOMES IN PALM SPRINGS. I FOUND THE ORIGINAL MARKETING BROCHURE AND IN 1962 THIS HOME WAS $49500.00. A LOT OF MONEY BACK THEN!

This is the master bathroom in our home built in 1899. We just completed this massive renovation which included closing off a wall, moving plumbing and having a custom vanity installed.

Have had this piece for many years...it was originally dark green with light maple doors. Needed a tall piece in MB corner, as my husbands chest was dwarfed with our cathedral ceiling. I had been a designer with Ethan Allen and always had coveted a handpainted armoire of theirs..should have bought it when we got 48% discount!!!...so I tried to get close to the feel of the EA piece.

We transformed our old 70s master bathroom/closet combo into a spa retreat. My husband had to build us custom closets in the bedroom to house our clothes, but it was so worth it to have this amazing relaxing space to unwind.

The Glass Bathroom is designed using three types of 8mm glass tile: a WATERFALL inspired focal wall juxtaposed to 1x1 tile for floors and other walls. The "fluent" space is enhanced by an onyx countertop which when uplit adds a dramatic impact. The floating cabinet adds lightness to the space. The convex shape of the sculptural faucet balances the concave effect of the glass sconces.

I love the ocean, and wanted to translate its soothing qualities into a space to hopefully help make for a calm baby boy! The colors were initially inspired by the bedding, but some of the amazing handmade gifts I received at my shower have added beautiful purples, greens and oranges to the palette. We hand painted the friendly sea creatures on the walls and bought the dark wood furniture cheaply at Ikea, then embellished with themed hardware. This room was a lot of FUN to design!!

I wanted to create a space that would grow with our little boy who is due in two weeks. I wanted it to be peaceful yet be representative of a youthful spirit.

My cousin Kelsy and I (Shauna are roommates for our sophomore year at Messiah College. So we created a room that coordinates our existing bedspreads. We wanted to make a place for ourselves that felt more like a home than a dorm. We were hoping for it to have a warm cozy feel but still incorporate color and some fun touches. :

We redid this room several years ago. Bumped out the roof and busted through to the attic to carve out a bathroom/closet/kitchenette. The two double beds are behind the curtains for a little privacy. My teenage boys love it and so do their friends. We used every inch of space as you can see.
