I totally quit trying to get the designer look on a budget for this room. I learned that it is designer look for a reason: you can't get the same look for cheap! So I used the color palette from the pillows for inspiration and went with my own design - on a budget...

This room started out as my son's room, but then we found out we were expecting baby #3. We realized my 2 year old and 5 year would have to share (a girl and a boy I would like to re-paint eventually.

We live in a very small San Francisco apartment. A one bedroom, 420 square foot space is quite a challenge for 2 people, but now we are ready for 3. We did a lot of online research, and found inspiration through Ohdeedoh and Rate My Space in particular. Because we must share the nursery with our baby, we wanted something that we could sleep with every night. We tried to stick to a color palette to keep things pulled together. A modern palette of Orange, turquoise, gray, white and chocolate brown come together with a nature/ bird theme to make our space livable for baby and parents.

Making the most out of our 1000 sq feet, we moved our 2 year old and 5 year old together into this bright and cheery shared room that allows for additional play space and storage under the junior loft bed.

My two daughters, age 5 and 2, have the most opposite personalities possible! So we combined that into a shared room by starting with basic chocolate brown bedding and then quilts that show their amazing personalities - one sweet and girly and the other ornery and fun! Hope you like it!

We live in Israel where closets are not standard. This is a small girls' room shared by two girls - 10 and 8 years old. They have a LOT of books and school stuff to store ( also no lockers or place to keep your things in the schools! and no built in closets. I tried my best to reduce the clutter given the situation...

I made these beds for my girls so they would each have a private space in a shared room. The room is still not done the walls still need to be painted and a new wall desk is in the works.

My daughters room is 10x11ft and she had enough stuff to fill 3 rooms. The solution I came up with had to be vertical. My inspiration:a 12x12in.scrapbook sheet.I chose colors&square design from it and I opted for ext. inexpensive peg board cut/36 in square.Painted each square a diff.color and mounted. The best part:the entire wall-peg board squares5 qts paintpeg shelf brackets & 15-36in white lam. shelves=all cost less than $175.00!

My girls share a room and insisted on this Disney wall color. I worked with it and added the rest! I thought muted bedding would work best since two beds equals double the impact. I think the overall effect is sweet girly and functional. The bookshelf was a garage sale find painted white the window was a cheap antique and I made the curtains. Their dressers are Shabby Chic from Target as is their bedding. I also loved using the black accents around the room. It's a little unexpected but cool!

This room has just been renovated for our three year old daughter and our new baby boy. I wanted it to be a neutral room they could grow into. The walls are pale green and the room has chocolate brown and pink accents.
We live in the Rocky Mountains so I wanted the room to reflect our natural surroundings.
