  • Dining-Kitchen-LR, Our split level home has the Kitchen, Dining and Living Room all set together with the Kitchen and LR divided by a small solid wall; which houses a bank of upper and lower cabinets. We are currently using those cabinets as our pantry space. The Kitchen has an eat-in counter/bar that then is adjacent to the dining room. The actual usable floor space of the kitchen is about 4'x10', with the being taken up with appliances and cabinets. The cabinets don't go all the way up the ceiling in the Kitchen. The LR is a long, narrow room. We have a lovely sliding glass door in the dining area and a large bay window in the LR. The dining area is only large enough for a small dining table and the surrounding chairs. Nothing more. Hardly the people even!, Dining Rooms Design

  • Stuck with Seafoam Green, We replaced everything except for the seafoam green tub in our bathroom. Went with browns, seafoam green and reds for accents. Unexpectedly had to redo the bathroom due to moisture issues, so a tight budget! Thanks to my dad we did it for about $1200. , Bathrooms Design

  • ReVamped Bedroom~Changing Rearranging, This is actually a repost. If you look at my other post on our bedroom you can see how it looked before. I knew that we needed a headboard so my husband and I made our own. We were on a small budget so we only spent around twenty dollars for the headboard and I think it makes a big difference!! I also bought a different curtain panel and stretched it across the window as far as I could. Another change would be the pillows, I cut back on the number of pillows I had on the bed and the arrangement. We bought new bedding too. I also put up a mirror instead of the old shelf we had there. I really enjoy this space so much!, Bedrooms Design

  • Brand new Rental Caribbean Get-away on a dime!, I just moved into a newly built 1 BR home in the country. The Landlord painted it some unusual, but pretty colors. I only had a little bit of $$ for decorating so I went with the Caribbean them because of the turqoise ceiling and white mouldings. I took my oak bedroom set and put rope around it, my boring brass lamp also got the rope treatment. Then I bought cheap white sheets and bamboo to hang on the windows. Then I found Dollar Tree items to accessorize with a few items I already owned. I think it turned out quite cute, considering I spent about $50.00. :), Bedrooms Design

  • Seafoam Green Bathroom - Suggestions Needed, We inherited a seafoam green bathroom when we purchased our apartment. Replacing the green fixtures is not an option right now so we figured out a way to make the color work. However the white walls now seem harsh.
