  • HELP with Valance/Canopy!!! , I am just putting this together and the husband says the vlance is too girly.. i however *~*~LOVE*~*~* it.. .. but i cant decide if i want to keep it how it is... with the sheers just hanging down and -BEHIND- the medallion... (which i also love) ** OR ** have the sheers pulled to the sides in these very pretty wrought iron valance brackets.. so it would be just the bare wall behind the medallion.   • updated picture , I added some color with a valance I'm going to get some red candles for the holders on top of fridge. What do you think? I am planning on adding some wall words to the soffit. I was thinking of a putting a saying on boths soffit walls. Suggestions/comment? (I am redoing the ceiling and lights next month) We did all the work ourselves except for the granite so it's taking some time!, Kitchens Design

  • My Kitchen, Our house was a builder's spec home with blah, boring walls and granite counters, tile backsplash and tile flooring we would not have chosen.   • Simple Funky French Living Area, My entire townhouse was off-white when I bought it, and that needed to change... quick! I used a neutral (gallery taupe) color for the walls and incorporated details that made me think of France in my townhouse's living and dining area.   • Fruity Kitchen Needs Help, I need help choosing a wall color and other decor please! What do you think about the valance? I was all set to use the more elegant one in the second photo but couldn't find a wall color that suited the oak cabinets and almond counters. Room gets lots of natural light so the colors change.   • Brand New Guest Bedroom Needs Help, My folks bought a brand new house about 3 years ago. And we're not ready to do any drastic changes. The furniture in the space is all pretty new--about 4 years old..if that. So the furniture needs to stay but the walls need help. And I think there's too much blue. The walls need help. I love b/w photography and horses...but I want to avoid that "cowboy" touch...I'm not a cowgirl. I'm the eastern type of rider. I think some greenery would help? Or maybe beads?   • Want it to look more polished. Please comment. THX, Plz help me figure this out. I am starting to regret the darker green because now my bar area and other side of my kitchen looks so stark. Should I paint the white doors and/or walls? Also I would love suggestions on what color I should go with for window valance. I have been scared to pick something that would either create too much warmth OR too much contrast. All suggestions are welcome! , Kitchens Design

  • WOW..This room is blue!, This was a scary color for me to try out....but...in the end...I absolutely love it! I love how the curtains tie in the colors in the dining room chairs. And yes I know that the flower arrangement looks large..but I think it is a perfect scale for the furniture...the "wimpy" light fixture (provided by my homebuilder) makes it look very large...one of the next things on my "to buy" list is a new appropriately scaled light fixture:) The color is Agave Frond by Behr., Dining Rooms Design

  • Our Living room, This is our livingroom. It is shaped in an L and is suppose to be a dining room and living room. But I did not want the dinning room so we put our sons Toys there and have easy access to our deck. But we are remodeling and need HELP!!! we chose a color it is a goldish yellow. and I want valances some ideas. Please send me ideas.
