This is the master bedroom and bathroom in our 1400 sq. ft. condo. My goal was to design something that my husband and I would like, would maximize the space, and would be neutral enough to also appeal to buyers when we look to sell the unit in the next few years.
The wall color is Valspar 'Pirate Coast', the furniture is Vaughan-Bassett, the bedding is from Restoration Hardware, the shade is from Bed, Bath, and Beyond, and the prints are from Homegoods.
This guest bath is part of a suite and features honed granite counter tops, travertine tile, accent tile by Daltile and custom cabinetry stained dark expresso.
Plumbing hardware by American Standard.

We recently (finally renovated / remodeled our master bathroom that had been sitting gutted since the day we bought our house - over 3 1/2 years ago. We finally were able to borrow the lump sum needed to do this massive makeover. The issue with the original bathroom - other than the fact that it was super dated (green wallpaper and yucky, was that the main drain was cracked and water was leaking to the floor below - into the walls and down to the floor. This is a second story bathroom and below it is the kitchen and dining room. Sadly the previous tenant was using the bathroom even with the broken drain pipes which had caused mold in the walls which we had to get professionally cleaned! Anyway, all that's in the past now and we have a fabulous modern (but comfortable master bathroom that feels like an expensive hotel / spa and it even has a view of the bay and golden gate bridge!
feel free to follow our blog for the rest of our adventures in home makeover here - http://fixerwithaview.wordpress.com - we even have a blog section about how we almost got onto HGTV's curb appeal - shot the reveal and everything before our project was cancelled.

Just got back to Texas from a trip back to Ohio for the Circleville Pumpkin Show and got inspired to punch the decor up a notch for fall!!! I started with my neutral palette and added texture and a splash of fall colors with pillows, candles, pumpkins, leaves and gourds! Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are enjoying this beautiful season wherever you are!

Stripped 4 layers (all the way back to the 40's of wallpaper and discovered 4 different colors of paint under that!! Paint color is inspired by Restoration Hardware's Silver Sage but is from Wal Mart :

Updated our dining room with changes of wall color, fixture, and added wainscoting. We're considering adding pictures to the wall or adding shelving for wine glasses.

This nursery was quite the project. I made and painted almost everything in this room. I still have a few personal touches to add. I just hope that littlest loves it!!

Originally built in the 1920's, the only transformation this kitchen had seen in its 80+ years was the replacement of appliances when it was necessary. On this project, the homeowners asked that their space be completely reinvented to suit their lifestyle. Which is cooking, 'living' in the kitchen and entertaining.
What was once three seperate rooms (kitchen, breakfast nook and laundry hallway has been transformed into one grand space. We removed the partition walls, leveled and soundproofed the ceiling and ultimately created one large room. With the addition of modern amenities, such as a dishwasher, wine fridge, pot filler, industrial hood and range, recessed lighting, crown moulding, a dining island and wiring the room for TV - the homeowners now spend their fare amount of time in their new 'living' room.
Please keep in mind that this kitchen is not 'decorated' per se. There are no small appliances on the counters or Roman shades yet; its just a showcase of the renovation.

Cozy bungalow living / family room. We have plenty of seating, storage and places to put up your feet and have a cup of tea, play a game, watch tv or just hang out.

I purchased a home mid-construction with an enormous Dining Room, approximately 18'x20'. The room fits between the Kitchen and Living Room and features soaring 12' ceilings and rounded walls - no corners!
Since I don't do a lot of formal entertaining outside of the holidays, I opted to split the room in two. One half is for dining where I have seating for 8. The other half is a lounge area with seating for 6 just outside the kitchen. This allows guests to relax with cocktails and appetizers while I cook right next door in the kitchen.
3/4" x 5" oak hardwood planks were used for the floor in this room and floor was stained and finished on-site.

Our bedroom was very formal and not very inviting. I decided to totally remodel our room to make it more calm and serene. Any ideas or suggestions are apprecaited.
