Our master was a creation of my inner designer. I have ocean blue for the paint color, ***(EXACT COLOR: We used ULTRA interior latex midtone base 41-1215 paint in eggshell. The color is 53D-4 Serene Stream We purchased the paint at a local home improvement store, called Menard's. ****accompanied by a 4 post modern meets traditional bed, matching chest and side table. I selected a white modern sofa table for added flare then refurbished an old piece of furniture and made it into a media cabinet. I selected interesting eclectic pieces for accessories. I have an extremely modern ceiling fan, and side table lamp. The white carpet came with the home and I would love to have dark African cherry wood floors.

I created this sitting area at the landing of my staircase from three pieces I refurbished and reimagined from a garage sale. I repaired an old chair white washed it and covered it with new yellow fabric with green polka dots. I salvaged an awful 70's lamp for the green glass to create what you see here. Enjoy!

Master bedroom with tons of budget friendly ideas. Because the mixture of old and new and the unique peices found in antique shops and auctions over the years it is timeless. The room was built 12 years ago on the 1865 farmhouse. Changing decorative pillows and buying a new lamp or two the room can be freshened up easily. I change the bedding with the blankets and sheets beings mix and matchable every time I change the sheets. I have collected some of these things over 30 years. In another house they can be used in different ways. The sheets are stored under the bed in baskets. I had the bed custom made a bit higher to allow for the storage baskets under it. We all have our favorite things.. I hope you like mine.!

Our small log home kitchen is open to the great room and gets lots of natural light. We did not like the original kitchen so we refurbished and reused with a faux technique I found here on RMS. We've got less than $1800 including the new convection/microwave oven. You've got to see the before to really appreciate the after.

This is my new cosmetic studio. I sell natural cosmetics and do makeup here. So I went for an earthy look. I did all the renovation work. Painting flooring and mosaic tile. Also refurbished old lighting and cabinets. I did all this work for under $700 my budget was very tight! This space was not touched in 30 years! Still a work in progress. There will be a photo studio behind the curtain. I'll post as I progress. Thanks for looking!

We live in a refurbished factory in Philadelphia. This is our master suite. Our unit is unique in that there is a brick room off the side of the main space. This brick room serves as our bedroom and master bath.

We had very old and used cabinets. We refinshed them. We also filled in the old fashioned lines down the middle. This is the first time we ever tried something like this! Still have to finish the rest of the kitchen and find somemore bottom cabinets!

This is my family room. Don't be too hard on me, I don't like the final look either and kind of stopped. I know it needs some accessories and things like that, but didn't know what to do next. Possibly a more neutral look, I don't know, but here is my "ugly room"...

Our master bedroom is a collection of treasures from my husband's childhood. The bed we sleep on is the same one he has slept in since he was 5 years old. Our dressers and nightstands were salvaged from his neighbors growing up, who were trying to put them out of their misery after 20+ years of use. What we've discovered is that no matter how much paint you try to cover it with, sometimes you just can't polish a turd!

Updated dining room respecting the older character of the house. I wanted a warm and comfortable feeling with a bit of elegance. Blend of French and Italian country. Restored ceiling and matched original picture molding which is used to hang all art work

I wanted to use lush fabrics and rich colors to balance the space. The feathers and sparkle give it whimsy. I made many elements in this room myself and love being spending time there.

This is a chandelier that I bought for $9 on clearance and spruced it up for my teenage daughter's bathroom. It started out silver so I painted it black and added prisms.I purchased plain white shades and trimmed them out with some pretty beads and trim.Just shows you what you can do on a budget.

Rustic, cozy hideaway for our toddler. Toys are hidden in outer portion of head & footboard of bed. Super comfy window seat lets him keep an eye on his older brothers playing outside. He loves his longhorns and we love his special space.

We have painted the room a blue green color to match the bedding. We bought the dresser and night stand off craigslist and painted them and put new hardware on. We tried to make this room as cozy as possible so the company wants to come again!!
