  • Tranquil Master Bedroom, Our master was a creation of my inner designer. I have ocean blue for the paint color, ***(EXACT COLOR: We used ULTRA interior latex midtone base 41-1215 paint in eggshell. The color is 53D-4 Serene Stream) We purchased the paint at a local home improvement store, called Menard's. ****accompanied by a 4 post modern meets traditional bed, matching chest and side table. I selected a white modern sofa table for added flare then refurbished an old piece of furniture and made it into a media cabinet. I selected interesting eclectic pieces for accessories. I have an extremely modern ceiling fan, and side table lamp. The white carpet came with the home and I would love to have dark African cherry wood floors., Bedrooms Design

  • Shabby Chic Refurbished Yellow and Green Sitting Area, I created this sitting area at the landing of my staircase from three pieces I refurbished and reimagined from a garage sale. I repaired an old chair white washed it and covered it with new yellow fabric with green polka dots. I salvaged an awful 70's lamp for the green glass to create what you see here. Enjoy!, Bedrooms Design

  • My Master Bedroom- Blue ,white and neutrals, Master bedroom with tons of budget friendly ideas. Because the mixture of old and new and the unique peices found in antique shops and auctions over the years it is timeless. The room was built 12 years ago on the 1865 farmhouse. Changing decorative pillows and buying a new lamp or two the room can be freshened up easily. I change the bedding with the blankets and sheets beings mix and matchable every time I change the sheets. I have collected some of these things over 30 years. In another house they can be used in different ways. The sheets are stored under the bed in baskets. I had the bed custom made a bit higher to allow for the storage baskets under it. We all have our favorite things.. I hope you like mine.!, Bedrooms Design

  • My Refurbished Hall Bath, When I bought my first house the bathroom looked as if it came right out of the 60's! Micro tile on the floor, dingy yellow toilet, peeling caulk in the tub, a short home made vanity with peeling paint that was appealing to nobody! I couldn't stand it. One weekend with my dad and its a entirely new bathroom! New clean tile, new dual flush toilet, fresh paint, and a brand new vanity, along with a new caulk job in the toilet and I'm no longer embarrassed to let my friends use the hall bath!! Great Victory!, Bathrooms Design

  • the transformers, this dining room makeover was a fun project friend just purchased a new home which is absolutely beautiful. The dining room was already painted red ( a favorite color) we added the table which we painted and recovered the seats. A custom made window treatment was added and monongrammed. we then accessorized to make a wonderfully elegant dining room. The side table my friend refinished and choose the canvas art work as his wall decor'. , Dining Rooms Design

  • Creative Recycled Living Room, The color inspiration came from the painting on the right. Almost every piece of furniture was found in a garage sale or was a hand-me-down and altered. The tables were white and painted black the couch is an ugly blue polka-dot from the 80's but it actually looks trendy with the black cover. The futon was an ugly striped print covered with a red sheet. The majority of the accessories were things my roommate and I already had or made lamps pillows art etc. It is still a work in progress!, Living Rooms Design

  • Renovation, When I purchased this home the bathrooms were dated with the original tile work and vanity top.

I found this once buffet table on the side of the road. Painted it, carved a sink in it, tiled it, did the plumming and placed it in this space.

  • Just Can't Polish A Turd!, Our master bedroom is a collection of treasures from my husband's childhood. The bed we sleep on is the same one he has slept in since he was 5 years old. Our dressers and nightstands were salvaged from his neighbors growing up, who were trying to put them out of their misery after 20+ years of use. What we've discovered is that no matter how much paint you try to cover it with, sometimes you just can't polish a turd! , Bedrooms Design
