  • Tranquil Master Bedroom, Our master was a creation of my inner designer. I have ocean blue for the paint color, ***(EXACT COLOR: We used ULTRA interior latex midtone base 41-1215 paint in eggshell. The color is 53D-4 Serene Stream) We purchased the paint at a local home improvement store, called Menard's. ****accompanied by a 4 post modern meets traditional bed, matching chest and side table. I selected a white modern sofa table for added flare then refurbished an old piece of furniture and made it into a media cabinet. I selected interesting eclectic pieces for accessories. I have an extremely modern ceiling fan, and side table lamp. The white carpet came with the home and I would love to have dark African cherry wood floors., Bedrooms Design

  • Making a rental a home, This is my first post-college rental apartment. With barely any budget, I had to reuse a lot of old stuff I had collected from my weekly trips to fleamarkets and thrift stores. I am an artist, so I wanted my space to feel like a reflection of me, that means a lot of quirky eclectic things hanging out all around. I don't buy art, but I made an art wall with my favorite paintings. I love candles, so I used old tiny glasses as holders for tea-light candles. Rugs are expensive, so I used an old canvas sheet I had painted as a rug under my coffee table(which I bought from Goodwill for $20 and spray painted to add some charm) I also have proudly hung my pothos plant from the ceiling in the entryway, it gives the empty space a focal point and makes me believe that I don't have a black thumb! , Living Rooms Design

  • Creative Recycled Living Room, The color inspiration came from the painting on the right. Almost every piece of furniture was found in a garage sale or was a hand-me-down and altered. The tables were white and painted black the couch is an ugly blue polka-dot from the 80's but it actually looks trendy with the black cover. The futon was an ugly striped print covered with a red sheet. The majority of the accessories were things my roommate and I already had or made lamps pillows art etc. It is still a work in progress!, Living Rooms Design

  • My Master Bedroom- Blue ,white and neutrals, Master bedroom with tons of budget friendly ideas. Because the mixture of old and new and the unique peices found in antique shops and auctions over the years it is timeless. The room was built 12 years ago on the 1865 farmhouse. Changing decorative pillows and buying a new lamp or two the room can be freshened up easily. I change the bedding with the blankets and sheets beings mix and matchable every time I change the sheets. I have collected some of these things over 30 years. In another house they can be used in different ways. The sheets are stored under the bed in baskets. I had the bed custom made a bit higher to allow for the storage baskets under it. We all have our favorite things.. I hope you like mine.!, Bedrooms Design

  • Aqua guest room, This room was inspired by a photo of green grass against the blue sky. I refurbished an old armoire and bed frame by painting them black with a little sanding for that antique look. Then spiced up the room with a little budget accessories and elegant bedding and a hand-me-down chair that matched the theme! A little young looking but it was fun. Any comments?, Bedrooms Design
