  • RECYCLED PAINT, To freshen-up & cool down for Fall, I updated our Dining Room walls by mixing left-over paint. I used a 1/2 Gallon of left-over RL Calypso blue [eggshell finish] with a 1/2 quart of left-over semi-gloss black for a $0 makeover - minus an earlier splurge this year of three West Elm woven hurricane sleeves I slipped over our glass shades to update the light fixture's look., Dining Rooms Design

  • 600 dollar throw away house garden, I bought a 600 dollar house marked for demolition. It is small but very charming and has incredible details from long ago building practices. The foundation is hand laid tooled rock and the siding is cedar clapboard, well it was under nasty green asphalt siding! The yard is immense, it came with half an acre of overgrown weeds, grass and rotten trees. From March til now, here is what I have been doing..., Gardens Design

  • Guest Room on a Budget, Anyone can write a check to create a beautiful room, but it's not so easy when your budget is just a few hundred dollars. I hand made the comforter, dust ruffle curtains and roman shade. I wanted to compliment the picture over the bed so I hand painted silverish/brown leaves like the print on the comforter and roman shade in the same shade as the painting. The carpeting will have to go next when the budget allows. I found the dresser for free and refinished it. The finials on the bed are from curtain rods, embellished with silver paint and rhinestones., Bedrooms Design

  • Mountain Retreat Craft Trailer, We received this RV trailer from friends free.It was in bad shape after a tree fell on it. We towed to our cabin and I started to redo it with leftover paint and many items I had been collecting for years. Many of the items were found at thift stores, garage sales or just freebies. This wonderful space is now used as my crafting area, or just a great place to enjoy reading. It can also be a space for the overflow of guests that come to our mountain cabin. , Other Spaces Design
