  • Enjoying a Summer Breeze on our porch, Our screen porch is a place where we can go to enjoy the Summer Breeze. The majority of items on the porch were purchased at estate sales and flea markets or on a clearance. Then I painted and/or recovered and repurposed my purchases for enjoyment. I even painted the wording shown above. To view more, go to my blog: and that in turn will have a link to my etsy store where you can view some of my paintings. , Porches Design

  • Arty Metallic Raspberry Dining Room, This dining room is a smalll rectangular space off the foyer of our home. The walls are done in a metallic black berry finish and the ceiling and crown molding has a silver reflective finish. We've had the table and chairs for years and the artwork was custom for a previous home..but still worked in our current home. The chrome and crystal chandelier brings this room from somewhat traditional to glamorous., Dining Rooms Design

  • Raspberry Red Dining Room, This is my bold raspberry red dining room...We moved into this house a year ago and the walls came this way. I thought about painting them before moved in but I decided I would try to make it work. It was a very different color for me and I wanted to take on a new decorating challenge. Here we are a year later and I've come to the conclusion that I can't make this color work with the furniture we have. The walls are a deep raspberry red and our dining room set is a medium cherry finish. The two shades of red just don't go well together. I tried using black and silver accents which look OK but the room still doesn't have the look I want. Since the furniture is here to stay (at least for now), I'd like to paint over the red. I'd like to keep the wainscoting white and add some crown moulding, but other than that, I'm open to suggestions. The room is on the dark side, despite the two large windows. The windows open up to our covered front porch so they're in the shade all day. The floors are light maple with dark mahogany inlay. We use this formal dining room for the occasional Sunday dinner and for big family holiday meals. I'd like to create a warm, inviting, cozy, relaxing space to enjoy a big meal with family...I need a color that will accentuate my furniture and create that warm, cozy feel. Any advice and suggestions would be very welcome! , Dining Rooms Design

  • Bedroom With a POP of Color, When I first painted this bedroom it was boring and I simply wasn't inspired. Then, I decided to go BIG with a Raspberry focal wall. Since I live in California (earthquake land), I opted for a chandelier decal above the bed. I embellished it with stones for a flashier look. I also had some amazing curtains made out of a black & white fabric and the coverlet is silver. I think it looks better in person, but enjoy the space!!, Bedrooms Design

  • RV Reno, My family purchased a 1995 bumper-pull travel trailer. My husband had trouble seeing past the 90s blue carpet, and blue and pink splattered wall paper and draperies. I looked at the travel trailer completely differently and immediately knew what I wanted the end result to be., Other Spaces Design

  • Breakfast Nook - Dining Room Ready for the Christmas Holidays 2011, This is my favorite room to decorate. It's so small and cozy that a few little touches go a long way to define the style and create the mood. It's a simpler look than last year but much more practical. I have no fussy decorations to move when I want to serve a tasty breakfast or have a friend over for tea. Although a rug looks good, it's really not practical in this heavily used room and so it had to go. My theme this year is definitely PRETTY but PRACTICAL., Holidays Design

  • living color living room, 22 x 22 Living room with 26 ft tall ceilings. I wanted color but also wanted to keep the walls neutral just in case we needed to sell. I put the color in the furniture and of course the assessories (my colorful glass collection) so I could take them with me. I had the canned lighting changed into chandeliers since it was so dark in the room. I wanted to accent the windows in a modern way as well as keep the views. Any ideas as to other window accents ( I tried the swag look and YUK!) I also would like some help with how to show off my glass collection on either side of the fireplace., Living Rooms Design

  • Living color living room, 22x22space with 26 ft ceilings in beautiful Frisco Colorado. Great views, wanted color with a neutral wall palette. having problems with window coverings. Want a contempory look. NO SWAGS. Should I do the same look on both sides of window views? Want help with collection of glass display next to fireplace. Designer wanted wall paper above where i have artwork display. Thought I'd put the $$$ in the artwork - not wallpaper banner or textured paint as she recommended. What about art AND a small banner of texture above the art to bring eye down or is art enough? Please reply!!!, Living Rooms Design

  • Our Colorful Kitchen Remodel, When we moved into our new house, we didn't have enough money to re-do our kitchen so we decided to handle the project ourselves. We painted the cabinets, painted the backsplash, added a hand painted island, changed out the hardware on the cabinets, spray painted the old kitchen light fixtures, painted a chalkboard wall, and replaced the old curtains with new ones. We love the way it turned out even though it was a lot of work!, Kitchens Design

  • Vibrant Living Room Remodel!, Color translates so easily — it's both modern and in this case, also ethnic. When looking for a San Francisco Interior Designer, our client asked for three specific things: surprise, to stay on budget, and to be daring. The Gabriel Scott chandelier is a showstopper! We collaborated with amazing local San Francisco artists to really complete the space. The geometric patterning is a predominant theme echoed throughout. The Tina Sedonne's sculpture highlights strength and fluidity. Tahiti Pehrson's 4' x10' cut paper signifies interconnectedness, and also echoes the negative space created by both the coffee table and the steel chandelier., Living Rooms Design
