We got our first snow over the weekend. I took some pictures of the front of the house and the Christmas lights. UPDATE - had more snow on Wednesday night. Daylight pics are from Thursday during the day. Can't believe it's not even winter yet!

This fairytale princess room was all hand painted. All of the walls and ceiling were painted. 3D wood clouds covered in batting hang from the ceiling. this is my freshman dorm room. i know it isn't exactly the most ideal design, but i just wanted to work with bright colors and items that i already had. the t-shirt quilt was my inspiration for the whole eclectic theme, which also works well to incorporate my school's colors as well as sorority spirit items

Two little princesses started with a plain light gray room. With the purchase of new bunk beds & new polka dot bedding, we needed something girly to jazz up the new space. We taped off horizontal stripes to coordinate, and the attached bath uses polka dots in the coordinating colors and the same princess theme. It uses bubble gum pink, lime green, light teal/turquoise, and tan/khaki. The wall of baskets was pricey but is invaluable storage for toys and such. The whole project was kid-friendly and fun and on a budget.

We lost our son and daughter in law in Oct. 2012 and found we would be sharing in the raising of our three grand-daughters. We wanted them to feel overwhelming love and have a magical place to just be little girls and let their imagination run free. The castle was born! We created this room with mostly recycled furniture and some wood and about 5 gallons of paint. We think it came out beautiful. Three tone walls, custom bed, and darling chandelier, make this room a magical spot in our home.

I did this room for my 3 years old little girl. She just loves disney princess she thinks she is a princess :-. Everything she have, has to have princess on it....her favourite color is pink and purple so i did her room in purple and pink have a celing fan that have princess on it. On the wall i put princess murals, also she have her little princess dresser where she likes to sit, does her makeup and play dress up....

We wanted out little princess to be surrounded with soft color and imagination. The Handpainted Mural that surrounds the entire room is filled with rolling hills and daytime on one side and night on the other. The porch lights on the Castle are working lights that are hand made. The castle flag says: The world has become more wonderful just because you are here. I had a lot of fun creating this room for her granddaughters are wonderful.

Our 3 year old decided she wanted a separate room to sleep in verses the room where her crib was along with her "upstairs" toys. There was a 6x8 walk-in closet off her room that had 2 windows, crown molding, a light fixture, carpeted and even a power outlet. I used the built in shelves to create the twin size platform bed and chose colors that blended with the maroon carpet that is not in the budget to change. I made everything in this room from the shelving units and dressed them up with detail molding and I made all the bedding and curtains. The total cost of this renovation was under $100.00 and the inspiration was the print my daughter chose to go in her room... Aww Mommy the princess is asleep.... I want her please! She gives the princess a kiss every-night before bed. (The print in screwed to the wall so that she can not pull it down on herself. The room her crib was in is now her play room and she loves the additional space to play. The room is very traditional as in keeping with our historical 1835 home.
