  • Girl's Bedroom Fit for a Princess, This "princess bedroom" was created for my 7-year old daughter. I painted the walls a pistachio green with petal pink accents. I gave her the "couch style" bed she wanted with lots of custom-made pillows along with white sheers on each side of the bed for a royal touch. I also added tiaras on shelves and a "chandelier." She absolutely loves her room and it has become the talk of the town amongst her friends., Girls' Rooms Design

  • 6-year-old daughter's room-Updated!, This is a work in progress. I originally painted the whole room pink. Then added the green stripe. There is gold glitter in stripe and at night it sparkles when the light is on. The green wall with pink flowers was born from a mistake. I had tried to paint polka dots and it just looked awful. So I was going to paint over everything with the green but thought I'd use painter's tape to mask out the flowers. It turned out really well! My daughter loves it! We are getting her a new, dresser to match her new bed. I want to put some matching shelves in here too, for some added decor and books. I just finished her drapes. Guess what they were originally! I'll tell all on that photo. lol we also just added the chandelier above her table. We'll be putting white faux wood blinds in here soon, too. Thank you for stopping by. :), Girls' Rooms Design

  • Horizontal Stripes and Polka Dots for Girls: Pink, Teal, Lime, Tan, Two little princesses started with a plain light gray room. With the purchase of new bunk beds & new polka dot bedding, we needed something girly to jazz up the new space. We taped off horizontal stripes to coordinate, and the attached bath uses polka dots in the coordinating colors and the same princess theme. It uses bubble gum pink, lime green, light teal/turquoise, and tan/khaki. The wall of baskets was pricey but is invaluable storage for toys and such. The whole project was kid-friendly and fun and on a budget., Girls' Rooms Design

  • Lime green girls room, I LOVE diy projects!!! Took an old $40 desk and refinished it to match the room. Used striped fabric to make the valance, cover the ottoman and curtains surrounding the fake window. Used masking tape to stripe a plain white lamp base. Painted the canvas drawings near the real window. , Girls' Rooms Design

  • Girl's Bedroom , This is the bedroom that my daughters (ages 13 & 8) share. It is a challenge to decorate in a way that makes them both happy but this worked! They both love it. The bedding and curtains are all reversable so the girls can have different looks but they all coordinate well together. This was my very first attempt at decorating... We just bought an older house that needs a lot of work and this was the first room to be worked on... I still have several to go..., Girls' Rooms Design

  • Gracey's Garden Patio, My grandaughter Gracey (4) loves to work in her garden more than anything else in the world. When they moved into their new house last month I talked my daughter into letting me design her room so it would be full of flowers ladybugs butterflies etc. We used lattice around the bottom of the walls. We did brick wallpaper on the window wall and make the window look as if it were an outside window with shutters and a canopy. We also added the flower sill to the window. , Girls' Rooms Design
