  • Details in Decoupage Floors, Think a decoupage floor has to be plain? How about some nice detailing, also in paper, to add a finishing touch to a room. The overall coloring of the paper was tone on tone but I could use any coloring. This was a basement renovation and this flooring resembled the inlaid wood pattern upstairs in the living room., Living Rooms Design

  • Decoupaged Checkerboard Floors, This basement renovation included the bathroom/laundry room. Freshly painted, the white washer and dryer, along with the cabinetry, go perfectly with the crisp style of checkerboard. The cement floor was smooth but not super level, which is no problem for decoupage! Once finished, it's easy to damp mop clean with no grout line or cracks between tiles to catch dirt., Other Spaces Design

  • Custom Color Decoupage "Tile" Floor, I took my kitchen colors and used them to color Kraft paper cut in squares, then adhered it for my new floor. The old floor was the stick down squares so I skimmed over them with a special cement product for a smooth surface to decoupage. Okay I am not the best photographer so the colors aren't spectacular but, trust me, they look fantastic in real life! Easy, fast, cheap - Decoupage Floors., Kitchens Design

  • Contact Paper for countertops???, I don't know what to do with my kitchen.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
We bought this house recently, which tapped our financial resources. BUT the kitchen needs some SERIOUS help.
Some highlights of our kitchen include:
contact paper countertops
peel and stick vinyl tile
peel and stick vinyl tile counter
lino backsplash
broken corner cupboards
broken hood fan

I have no problem doing the work, but I don't know where to begin. Especially since everything needs to be done in small steps because I had a baby 8 weeks ago.

  • This Young House's Third Bedroom, This room is truly a mutt (a combination of an extra guest bedroom as well as a craft table for gift wrapping and card writing). Although it will someday become a nursery we love that we have a designated spot to house all of our wrapping and writing supplies as well as another daybed for sleeping overflow guests. • This Young House's Sunroom , By far the best room in the house our sunroom had potential from the start. Three out of four walls boast huge glass windows for perfect spring breezes and stunning views. Pulling up the ugly (and smelly) carpet from the previous owner was the first thing we did and then we stained the concrete floors in a warm tuscan gold color. • Master bathroom rock wall!, 70's vintage lacquered rock and pink floral wall paper was chosen by my husband's parents when they owned the old house.
When remodeling the house hallway, they had enough space to also add another half bath to the master.
We would like to combine the two small bathrooms and make it into one large master bathroom.
Such a large project seems so overwhelming, any advise or ideas would be welcomed. , Bathrooms Design
