  • A QUIET CONVERSATION, This room was dubbed "the library" that turned into an old-fashioned clubby drinking-cigar-smoking-having-a-quiet-conversation-by-the-fire sitting room. It is rather small 10x11 and is perfect for 4. I wanted it to look like it's been there forever although our house is new construction. It has become my favorite of all spaces. I think my soul is OLD. , Living Rooms Design

  • New House with Old Furniture, The new living room is wonderful just a bit smaller than our old house. I have to live with the floral sofa for awhile and have given up on matching a rug to it. I'm thinking of going with a natural jute type rug and just ignoring the floral altogether. Any suggestions about how I can play down the floral or room arrangement would be appreciated., Living Rooms Design

  • My Mediterranean Outdoor Life, The essence of Mediterranean living means living inside and out. You don't have a garden as much as much as you have a collection of rooms inside and outside of a fixed structure. Following the architecture set by the home, the exterior spaces look and feel seamless.

  • Objects in the Garden, My gardening style is quite relaxed. I have objects of all sorts and sizes in my garden. Some are meant for the garden and some have been repurposed. Tasteful placement of various and interesting objects is an important element in my gardens. Objects can be used as focal points or as semi-hidden surprises as you stroll around your yard.

  • Old world meets new, Small guest bath. Wanted to get an old world feel with an update. The sink is my grandmothers old side table. It was too low so we added post tops to the existing legs and stained to match. The walls were sponged and an existing doorway was converted into a cabinet. We removed the tub and put in a tiled shower. We used 18 in. tiles diagnal on the floor and warm colors for the room appear larger.
I'm not sure about the walls. I think it gives the old world look. I would like some feed back on it and the rest of the bathroom., Bathrooms Design
