We like to keep our holiday decor color schemes & themes neutral. We are relatively new homeowners, so we don't have a ton of decorations yet, but each year we add to our collection...hope you like it!

We love Christmas so much so I try to make the house as warm and cozy as possible during Christmas. I often have people say that they would love to come visit me and bake cookies when they see pictures so I feel like I am getting the look I am going for for the most part. Our house is very small (less than 1300 sqft so it can be tough to fit in all that I wish I could but I do my best. Excuse the old tv! That is the one part of the room we need to update more than anything...haha I would love to buy a fireplace and a a tv to hang above it for that wall! That would really help complete the space for me.

Christmas at my home is full of decorations for my grandbabies. My living room is in gingerbread men. The foyer is decorated in Santa's. The tree in the foyer is mainly white with santa glass ornaments all through the tree. On the landing is a small tree loaded with handmade ornaments out of cloth and minature jingle bells. There are 2 Elfs that stand at the top looking down at Santa, Ms Santa, and Father Time. In my dining room I have the reason for the season...the manger is placed in the bay window with a glittering star hanging above. The tree is full of fruit and a gold star gracing the top...Above the table I have ribbons and sugar cookie angels hanging down, and in my china cabinet nook is a beautiful angel guarding over us all. In the breakfast room is 3 wood bark trees full of ornaments that I have collected over the years with my kids plus some ornaments on wood that I painted this year. Lastly in my bedroom, I went with a cabin feel having a large tree full of berries for the baby bears that are up in the top of the tree and Mommy bear looking up at them as she hangs from the bottom of the tree. I have feather trees and a woodland santa setting on my fireplace mantle to complete the look.

This is my guest bedroom decorated for Christmas. I usually like to stick with traditional for Christmas, but I got this idea and just had to do it in the room. I bought all of the pieces of greenery and feathers and created the swags and wreath myself. I bought the 7ft Christmas tree for only $30 at 5am on Black Friday. I thought the green/turquoise color scheme would really pop in my already apple green guest bedroom.

I live in a rental unit, so we can't do very much with the outside of the house, but I was determined to make it shine for the holidays. I made this outdoor ornament garland myself with Walmart pre-lit garland and plastic ornaments from Home Depot and Walmart.
