  • Master Bath - Open Spa like Shower/Bathroom, Enter through french doors to the master bath and you see the air flow two person tub straight ahead. On each side of the tub you will see a his and her's vanity made of Alder wood and granite countertops. It's hard to get a picture showing this. The her's side has a heated floor. The shower is open with no doors. There is no draft and the water doesn't splash out. The water closet gives us privacy and there is an arched doorway to the closet., Bathrooms Design

  • Small and ugly shower stall replaced with a door less walk-in tiled shower , "Go big." That was our motto when we got rid of the moldy old shower stall and put in an open, doorless shower that is wide open, fully tiled and a snap to keep clean.View more details at http://www.picklesandwine.com/?p=99 , Bathrooms Design

  • Touch of Tuscany , This was a huge remodel! We made the most of a small space by vaulting the ceiling and putting in a sky-light. There is a open shower (hard to photograph). Advised not to use slate in shower but it worked out great. Color of walls is Taupe. We mixed copper with brushed nickel fixtures. My husband designed and did all the work himself., Bathrooms Design

  • The bathroom that was built in 1997 but looks like it's from 1987, Our first bathroom leaves a lot to be desired. It's a few different shades of white starting with the walls the two tone open shower features a block glass which serves as a divider. Ugly double vanity sinks a whirpool tub that needs to be taken out back and blown up the tile floor is very outdated and a toilet that is behind the door leaves much to update., Bathrooms Design

  • Masculine Master Bath, After gutting most of this Bath, I transformed it from a low-end beige and white room, into what I think is an awesome, relaxing and masculine space. Keeping the tub and toilet, I opened up the closet from a 24" bi-fold door and custom built some leaded glass doors in a pattern that matches the slate on the walls and floor. I had to do this on a budget and came in under $2000 for the entire room. I bought the slate in 12x12 tiles and cut them as needed. There were a lot of 6x12 tiles needed and sorting the tiles was very labor and time consuming. I put the darker and rougher tiles on the floor when I could. On the floor I placed 12x12 dark tiles with 6x12 colored tiles and on the walls I was able to reverse this by using the 12x12 colorful slate and cutting some of the dark slate to 6x12. I think it was worth the effort of sorting over 300 tiles by color and texture. The vanity looks nice, but it's a press-board reproduction piece. I'm using it as a placeholder till I find the perfect piece. I like it, but hopefully will be replaced soon. I got the lighting on sale at a local home shop, and decided to reverse the direction of the vanity lights. I love the effect. The ceiling and walls are done with copper glaze over a mauve base. I love the ceiling, but as soon as I figure out what, I'm going to change the walls somewhat. The accessories were a pain. I couldn't find what I wanted so far, so I bought some things and painted them white for contrast. They work, sort of, but I have in mind what I want and if I find them, I think I can do better., Bathrooms Design
