  • Ayana's Sweet and Modern Nursery, I am a lover of contemporary living. Ever since I thought of making our daughter's nursery I was looking for something that looks modern and contemporary. After my rigorous research I finally settled down to "Gray and Yellow" theme, Gray was to give the room that elegance and Yellow was to diffuse that freshness and incandescence for a girl's room. I loved how the combination was vivid as well as graceful.

However, I wanted to keep a balance between splurging for the nursery and 'thinking too much'. I think I was able to get to it finally!

I got my inspiration from all the beautiful projects that have been submitted already. I had previously done my son's room, and I also wanted Ayana's room to be as pretty as she herself is.

  • Peeper's Place, A sweet, neutral nursery created with lots and lots of love for our first baby, "Peeper". I love neutrals. I wanted a neutral, clean, crisp, contemporary but warm space all wrapped up into one big ball of awesome. My inspiration for this entire room was the knowledge that I wanted gray walls, and that precious raindrop mobile! I based all my colors from there, using the ones I loved most as pops of color throughout the rest of the room., Nurseries Design

  • Our Nursery, When designing our daughter's nursery, I did not want anything theme-ish...nothing at the baby stores really appealed to me, so I decided to focus on color instead. I fell in love with Benjamin Moore's Palladian Blue wall color and then handmade three white-framed nursery prints for fun. With that, the color palette was decided-blue walls, white furniture with pink accents and a splash of yellow throughout. The crib is the Essentials Flat by Baby Cache. Crib bedding is from Pottery Barn. The changing table was a great find on craigslist. My husband made the headboard and bookshelf from plans from Ana White's website. The rocking chair was mine when I was little and I love being able to hand it down to my own daughter now. We love the cheerful colors of this room!, Nurseries Design
