  • Reed's Nursery Rhyme Nursery, This mural includes children's songs, fables, nursery rhymes, and tons of tiny critters and animals to keep a baby entertained. I created this nursery for my first born son Reed. I was 8 months pregnant when I began painting it. This was my favorite project because it was the first time I got to create a project for my own child. , Nurseries Design

  • Nursery Rhyme Girl's Nursery, This is now my 19 month old's "space" but soon her little sister will take over the nursery. We went with soft pinks and greens. The colors stem from the vintage nursery rhyme toile fabric. The room features a flower chandelier with pinks and greens and handpainted wood cornaces over the windows. We used a regular dresser for the changing table so that we could use the piece later down the road. The furniture was kept simple to accent the cute fabrics and colors. • Don't-Know-If-Its-a-boy-or-girl Baby Room, We are due with our first baby in two weeks - and we are waiting oh-so-impatiently to find out if its a boy or a girl! Right now, we call the in utero baby "Bjorn" but that's not his/her final name. Just a good gender-neutral name to go with the good gender-neutral colors of green, tan and brown in this baby room!, Nurseries Design

  • Old Fashioned/Vintage Nursery, We love to decorate so rather than purchasing a "nursery in a bag" from a baby superstore in which all the decorative elements are created for you we decided to pick a theme and then find unique elements for the nursery at various places. When our friends found out what we were doing they too became our "eyes" and would look for unique decorative elements for the room. We found treasures at specialty stores garage sales thrift stores and home stores., Nurseries Design

  • Nursery Rhyme Time, This is my son's fairytale nursery rhyme nursery. I knew exactly what nursery rhymes I wanted depicted & where I wanted them painted on the yellow walls. I did, however, hire a professional to actually paint the murials. The cow jumping over the moon is painted on the ceiling above his crib. This is my favorite room in my house and I think it's his too!!

  • Nursery Rhyme Nursery, Soft and sweet this nursery highlights the nursery rhyme hey diddle diddle, the cat and the fiddle - and the cow jumping over the moon. The curtains are made from a very simple light blue and pale green paisley with a pom pom accent and light blue dot bottom. The bedding is also made from the same fabrics with a center panel of sheer star fabric over the light blue dot. I also painted the toybox and stool to coordinate with this gender neutral sweet space. I painted the words to twinkle twinkle little star around the ceiling light, which was to light to photograph, but so super cute!, Nurseries Design

  • Baby Boy, Passing on things from one generation to the next need not be limited to the Chritening gown alone. Using nursery items that bring with them a history of happy memories is a great way to create a baby space with special meaning and style., Nurseries Design

  • Tiny Toddler Transformation, This room was put together over the course of a year and with a very small budget (less than $800 total). Every inch of the room was painted during my pregnancy with my third child. The furniture was reused from our son's nursery, Craigslisted, or diy-ed. If there was anything that could be reused, refashioned, re-imagined, it was. This tiny 8.5' x 11' was a labor of love. Our daughter enjoys her room very much and most things are just her size. You can see more of this transformation at the blog, DecorumDIYer.wordpress.com : http://wp.me/p12yAb-wO , Girls' Rooms Design

  • Ayana's Sweet and Modern Nursery, I am a lover of contemporary living. Ever since I thought of making our daughter's nursery I was looking for something that looks modern and contemporary. After my rigorous research I finally settled down to "Gray and Yellow" theme, Gray was to give the room that elegance and Yellow was to diffuse that freshness and incandescence for a girl's room. I loved how the combination was vivid as well as graceful.

However, I wanted to keep a balance between splurging for the nursery and 'thinking too much'. I think I was able to get to it finally!

I got my inspiration from all the beautiful projects that have been submitted already. I had previously done my son's room, and I also wanted Ayana's room to be as pretty as she herself is.

  • Peeper's Place, A sweet, neutral nursery created with lots and lots of love for our first baby, "Peeper". I love neutrals. I wanted a neutral, clean, crisp, contemporary but warm space all wrapped up into one big ball of awesome. My inspiration for this entire room was the knowledge that I wanted gray walls, and that precious raindrop mobile! I based all my colors from there, using the ones I loved most as pops of color throughout the rest of the room., Nurseries Design
