I repainted my contemporary Italian leather set to a little darker mustard brown to accent the vintage marble top coffee table. The marble coffee table has many hand designed wooden accents. This piece took 4 men to deliver it to my home. All natural wood and natural marble top. The paintings are original oils. I even upholstered the ottoman myself as well...to match to leather of the set. I then used a vintage server for an television stand.

This is the room that would typically be called the formal living room. We are casual and have young children. I think the space is well suited to our lifestyle. It is a perfect space for conversation or to curl up and read a book. After dinner parties we generally circulate into the space for after dinner drinks and dessert. I still need to change out the previous drapery. It is not my style. It does match to some degree so it has been a little farther down on my to do list. I'll get them done, hopefully this year. Living room split into two areas. As you walk in on the right is where most time is spent on L shaped corner sofa. This faces a slim LED TV, XB Kinect, WII, XBOX, DVD player etc. There is an fire also built into the wall.

On the other side two leather sofas with coffee table in middle. Music system mounted on the wall. Mostly used for guests and listening to music.

Lighting is via spot lights and one up light. Two coloured spot lights under bay window for night useage.

The flooring was a labour of love to install and polish! All flooring on the ground level is wood parquet (parkay. Each block is about an inch and half thick.

The French doors lead into the kitchen (not parquet but tiles on floor. These are mostly kept shut and kitchen accessed via the front landing.

We're starting to put this game room together and need your help! The tile around the fire place is an awful orange and doesn't fit with anything else in our home. We're thinking of staining it as a cost effective approach to knocking the tile out entirely. We're not sure about colour for the stain or the walls... all walls are white and desperately need personality. The mantle is natural wood and doesn't match our dark wood floors. Any thoughts on colour for the fireplace tile, walls and ceiling, and mantle?

We found this Teak large dining table and bench, and fell in love with them. The natural wood tone set the atmosphere of the room, I chose rustic style lighting and modern yet timeless style chairs and decor. a bit of colors with drapes and accent wall around the big window overlooking our small but cozy retreat backyard.
