This is my 14x14 off-grid cabin. I designed and built the cabin for under $2000 and I live in the cabin full time. the power system is 580 watts solar and 400 watts wind and I use a composting toilet. I garden, raise chickens and rabbits and fish. I am in the process of landscaping the 1 acre plot into garden space, fruit orchard, animal pens, and space for a cash crop.

My remodel of our mid 90s master bath to a modern spa retreat. The tiring old wallpaper had to go so I took that down and a little more. Majority of the walls were gutted down to the studs and rebuilt to what you see. The floating mirrors are a DIY first for me. I also custom built the vanity, built-ins, and custom tub surround. We also did a custom closet but I'll save that for another 'rate my space' review.

A brand new house with beige walls, I can't leave that alone, now can I? This guest room was small, about 12x12 and FLOODED with sunlight. I knew right away it could handle the "seal skin" color I'd had my eye on for months. After collecting a mid-century chandelier, clearance curtains from Pier One and a few furry pillows I had formed a complete vision for the room. Side table items collected from goodwill completed the welcoming, lived-in look.
The rest of the items are treasures I've been hanging onto for years (the chair, the side tables, the lamps, etc. The resin owl holds a dear place in my heart is always the first thing my guests claim to adore when they visit, then the chandelier.
I chose not to hang any art - they soft depth of the walls hugs you when you're in the room and I didn't want to ruin that special feeling.

THis room is really small and i had to pack it with the dressers, there was no other place for them, they are made by a company called DIXIE, they are from 1970's and were my aunts. The Crib is Davinci . The small rug is from Target as well as the shelf and bird houses. THe bedding is Dwell Baby in Charlotte. THe rod and curtains are from Target (shabby chic collection and the rocking chair is a Craigslist find for 25.00. All is left to do is a new entry door and closet doors and new base molding, and comments would be helpful!

The room started as a maroon, wallpapered nightmare. I painted the cabinets, took down the paper, put up an awesome curved curtain rod and added my own decor. I wanted to keep it simple but lovely.
