We will be using this spare room for folding laundry, crafts, meditating to a good book, and as a guest bedroom for when guests come.
Still in progress...

*please see other postings for different views of space* This is an important part of my family room. I need a shelf to house all of my cable box, DVD player, CDs/DVDs & has to be at least 60' wide. Also this wall will need some accessories, any suggestions (links/pics would be great. Thanks.

This kitchen, born in the 1940's has quite a history. It has morphed through decades of styles, but has maintained its period feel. More cabinets were added to replicate the original ones to keep the charm and cut the costs at the same time. Granite counter tops, sleek new faucets, under-mount sinks, a functional kitchen island, a wet bar and loads of storage updates this stuck in the '60's kitchen. Funky artwork pops with color harmonizing with the sleek elements of the hardware while the chandelier over the island echos to the original chandelier in the living room. This kitchen does not feel or look "done," It feels relaxed and inviting, like it is part of the evolution of the house.

We remodeled this bathroom with a budget of $450. We painted the walls with Seafoam blue, added Pottery Barn hardware and light fixture, and replaced the floors with discount ceramic tile. This bathroom was a challenge given the fact that it is 3 by 5. I am pretty happy the way it came out. The way it was before was pretty gross and I think this is just temporary because I plan on expanding it with the kitchen floorplan remodel.

A spa like feel accompanies this bathroom... from the programmable heated floor to the 72" slipper claw foot tub (comfortably fits a man over 6" tall to the river-rock shower floor. We purchased custom two-toned fixtures in oil rubbed bronze and copper finish. We wanted the vanity area to look like a piece of furniture so we made it counter top height, included spindles and ball feet to help us achieve that look. We also added a shelf into the vanity area and had the side splashes created to pull it all together. To keep the sink area uncluttered we incorporated wall mount faucets. The final touch was adding the decorative tile in the middle of the vanity to add some color and break up the granite look (same tile is in the shower area and as wall decorations above the windows. We added outlets inside the vanities to allow us to hide hairdryers, shavers, electric toothbrushes, etc.. We used a combination of molding designs from the cabinet maker to create a unique mirror frame. We used an offset pattern of 19 X 19 tiles for the floor and to break up the large floor area as well as to highlight the claw foot tub and we created a tile carpet for it to sit on. The shower is a neo-angle area surrounded by 1/2 inch thick glass and tiled in a 16 x 16 natural stone and includes a bench and a wonderful river-rock floor that soothes your feet as you shower (the shower is large enough to hold 2 adults comfortably. We also included a few hooks between the tub and shower area so that there is a place to hang towels or other items. All lights fixtures are on dimmer switches ( 3 zones - above the vanity lights, above the tub and the rest plus the exhaust fan is hidden in one of the recessed lights! The final items that pull this bathroom all together are the crown molding, the oversize wood base cove molding, the stool, the cafe shutters that allow light in but allow us to keep our privacy, the full length mirror attached to the back of the bathroom door and the his & hers re-designed California Closets. I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoy our bathroom!!

We 've recently started remodeling some of the main living areas of the home we've lived in for almost 15 years. One is a powder room and the other is the master bath. Forgive the photography it's not my strong suit so colors may be off.

The harmonizing effect of paintings & sculpture in the garden or interior settings creates a unique space for reflection and connection to the natural environment.

Previously a tan tile bathroom, we eventually had to take it down to the studs, level the floor and move the wall between both bathrooms. The cabinets were custom built in our basement shop. There's a skylight above. The wall mounted toilet extends into the room 3-4 inches less than a traditional toilet and made room for the Sanijet pipeless whirlpool. Wall sconces mount through 4" holes in the large mirror. Tile grout lines line up in all directions across the floor and up the wall. Those little vertical tiles creating the horizonal trim were all cut to 2" long and the colors tie-in to the brushed nickel, brown, white and mirror surfaces. We're on the fence regarding the orange wall - but heck, it's just paint. And yes, you read right, we tore up the second bathroom too.

This media room serves us in multiple ways, as it also holds our office and my Husband's trophy mounts and bear and elk skins...I refer to them as the "ultimate fur throws"!

We redid our backsplash and counters to enhance our well used kitchen. Notice the kitchen is in the middle of being used as opposed to being made up for photos.
