  • Southern Comfort, Master bedroom. I decorated it with
Comfort in mind. I love to be surrounded by flowers and pictures, so the room is a little French country and shabby chic. I had close death experience about 3 years ago and now enjoy each day I live. I love to feel comfort and love in the rooms I play with in my home., Bedrooms Design

  • Shaded and Jaded, We are the Scarboro family and with these pic’s hopefully you can see why our modest little home is in DESPERATE NEED of a backyard makeover! We would really like to entertain more often as we definitely have the space for it but with all the trees and brush, it is a haven for mosquito’s and insects and makes it virtually impossible to enjoy. That combined with a tricky, uneven landscape makes the task of designing an outdoor “living” space seem overwhelming. Please help our dreams of a wonderful backyard come true!
We could certainly use it!, Yards Design

  • Maui Christmas Mantel Decoration, I came up with a theme of Maui Christmas for my decor this year. To match my tropical underwater holiday tree, I came up with this mantel decoration made from plexiglass background, hand painted aqua iridescent letters, rub on tropical fish, and florist foam wrapped in blue twinkle lights and iridescent white netting. I bought lots of glittery foliage from Michaels to make it look like seaweed and some great bobbles that look like air bubbles. Throw in some wooden tropical fish and real seashells, and wha laa!, Holidays Design

  • My dream backyard space turned horrible nightmare, See my profile for description, but hired a contractor for my dream back yard and big 6 0 birthday party. Bought most of materials, paid contractor for other materials, paid him 1/3 of cost to start, then paid him an advance because he had run low on money and never saw him again. He is out of 8K given to him alone, plus what I bought. I can never aford to fix this since my 401 K and investments went down the tubes and no more saving. Next was to be enlarging the kitchen area to enjoy the view out back. I cry when I look out there. Estimates to fix what they messed up 12 - 16 K. I'll never be able to afford to retire, much less fix the mess., Yards Design

  • WIP: Blue and White Bedroom , This is my first try at decorating! I tried to keep it simple and practical. Aside from expanding the picture wall and changing the hardware on the doors I am not too sure what else I can do. I like the monochromatic theme but I think it would be nice to add in a splash of color somehow. Please let me know if you have any ideas!, Bedrooms Design
